🙏🏼I hope the world will hear this small voice — a voice of pain from Cambodia 🇰🇭, a country that is currently being violated by Thailand, yet falsely portrayed by Thailand as the one who started the war.
Thailand claims to love peace and to be acting justly — but look at their actions:
1. Thai forces entered Cambodia and shot a Cambodian soldier dead.
2. Cambodia sought to resolve the issue peacefully through the ICJ, but Thailand refused.
3. Thailand unilaterally closed the border.
4. Thailand threatened to cut off electricity and internet access to Cambodia.
5. Just a few days ago, a Thai citizen assaulted a Cambodian officer and fled.
6. Thailand expelled the Cambodian ambassador and recalled its own.
7. Even before the attacks began, Thai soldiers installed a fence inside Cambodian territory and blocked Cambodian tourists. When Cambodia removed the fence, Thai soldiers opened fire on Cambodian troops!
*So, are these the actions of a peace-loving country?!
It makes no sense to claim that Cambodia fired first.
Cambodia seeks peace. We believe in truth, respect, and justice.
As Cambodians, we will continue to protect our heritage and speak up with dignity.
