សូមគោរព UNESCO និង UNESCO Cambodia
ក្នុងនាមខ្ញុំជាជនជាតិខ្មែរ ខ្ញុំសរសេរដើម្បីបង្ហាញពីក្តីបារម្ភ និងទុក្ខព្រួយយ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅ ទាក់ទងនឹងការបំផ្លិចបំផ្លាញ និងការឈ្លានពានរបស់យោធាដែលកំពុងកើតមាននៅប្រាសាទព្រះវិហារ ដែលជាតំបន់បេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោកទទួលស្គាល់ដោយអង្គការយូណេស្កូ ដែលមានទីតាំងនៅជាប់ព្រំដែនកម្ពុជា និងថៃ។
រហូតមកដល់សព្វថ្ងៃនេះ កងកម្លាំងយោធាថៃនៅតែបន្តប្រើប្រាស់សព្វាវុធ និងកាំភ្លើងធំធុនធ្ងន់ មិនត្រឹមតែគំរាមកំហែងដល់អធិបតេយ្យភាពកម្ពុជាប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែថែមទាំងបំផ្លាញប្រាសាទផ្ទាល់តែម្តង ដែលជាសម្បត្តិវប្បធម៌ដែលមិនអាចជំនួសបាន ដែលមានតម្លៃជាសកល។ បើទោះបីជាស្ថិតនៅក្រោមការការពាររបស់អង្គការយូណេស្កូក៏ដោយ ក៏តំបន់បេតិកភណ្ឌនេះកំពុងរងគ្រោះថ្នាក់ម្តងហើយម្តងទៀត ហើយសុវត្ថិភាពនៃសហគមន៍ជុំវិញនៅតែមានហានិភ័យ។ ស្ថានភាពនេះបង្កជាសំណួរបន្ទាន់៖
តើរដ្ឋភាគីជាង 170 អាចបន្តការជឿទុកចិត្តលើអនុសញ្ញាបេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោកដោយរបៀបណា ប្រសិនបើអង្គការយូណេស្កូមិនអាចធ្វើអន្តរាគមន៍ ឬការពារទីតាំងមួយក្នុងបញ្ជីរបស់ខ្លួនក្នុងអំឡុងពេលជម្លោះប្រដាប់អាវុធ?
តើអង្គការយូណេស្កូនឹងចាត់វិធានការអ្វីខ្លះដើម្បីការពារការខូចខាតបន្ថែមទៀត ហើយត្រូវទទួលខុសត្រូវចំពោះការបង្កគ្រោះថ្នាក់ដល់សម្បត្តិបេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោក?
នេះមិនត្រឹមតែជាបញ្ហារបស់កម្ពុជាប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ វាជាបញ្ហាសកល។ ការបន្តកំណត់គោលដៅនៃតំបន់បេតិកភណ្ឌពិភពលោកធ្វើឱ្យខូចដល់មូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះនៃកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការ និងការអភិរក្សវប្បធម៌អន្តរជាតិ។
ខ្ញុំសូមជំរុញអ្នកឱ្យធ្វើឥឡូវនេះ—មុនពេលដែលមរតកមនុស្សរួមរបស់យើងត្រូវបាត់បង់ជារៀងរហូត។

Dear UNESCO and UNESCO Cambodia
As a Cambodian, I am writing to express deep concern and distress regarding the ongoing destruction and military aggression taking place at the Preah Vihear Temple, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the border between Cambodia and Thailand.
As of today, Thai military forces continue to use weapons and heavy artillery, not only threatening Cambodian sovereignty but directly damaging the temple itself—an irreplaceable cultural treasure with outstanding universal value. Despite being under UNESCO protection, this heritage site is being repeatedly harmed, and the safety of surrounding communities remains at risk. This situation raises urgent questions:
How can over 170 States Parties continue to place trust in the World Heritage Convention, if UNESCO cannot intervene or protect one of its own listed sites during armed conflict?
What concrete actions will UNESCO take to prevent further damage, and hold those responsible accountable for endangering a World Heritage property?
This is not only a Cambodian issue—it is a global one. The continued targeting of a World Heritage Site undermines the very foundation of international cultural cooperation and preservation.
I urge you to act now—before more of our shared human heritage is lost forever.
