A Handshake Turned Into a Trap
Today, our hearts are heavy.
What was meant to be a moment of peace and diplomacy turned into betrayal. Thai soldiers approached Cambodian troops with open hands—ready to shake hands, take photos, and portray unity to the world.
But behind those smiles, behind that handshake… lay deception.
As our Cambodian soldiers stood down in trust, hidden Thai troops emerged from the jungle. In an instant, two Cambodian soldiers were killed, nineteen were captured, and only one escaped to tell the truth.
We do not seek war. Our history has already borne too much suffering.
But we will never forget this day—when a gesture of peace was met with violence.
The world must know. Justice must be served.

គ្រាដែលគួរតែជាពេលវេលានៃសន្តិភាព និងការទូត ក៏បានប្រែជាការក្បត់។ ទាហានថៃខ្លះបានចូលមកជិតកងទ័ពកម្ពុជា ដោយលើកដៃសំពះ ត្រៀមចាប់ដៃ ថតរូប និងបង្ហាញពិភពលោកថាសាមគ្គីភាពជាមួយគ្នា។
ប៉ុន្តែពីក្រោយស្នាមញញឹម ពីក្រោយការចាប់ដៃនោះ… គឺគម្រោងឃោសនាក្បត់។
នៅពេលដែលទាហានខ្មែរយើងឈរចុះដោយជឿជាក់ កងទ័ពថៃដែលលាក់ខ្លួនបានផុសចេញពីព្រៃ។ បានចាប់ខ្លួនទាហានកម្ពុជាហេីយ ពីរនាក់ត្រូវបានសម្លាប់ ដប់ប្រាំបួននាក់ជាប់ ហើយមានតែម្នាក់ប៉ុណ្ណោះដែលរត់រួចមកប្រាប់ហេតុការណ៍នេះ។
យើងមិនស្វែងរកសង្គ្រាមទេ។ ប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្ររបស់យើងធ្លាប់ទទួលរងទុក្ខវេទនាលើសលប់ហើយ។
ប៉ុន្តែយើងនឹងមិនភ្លេចព្រឹត្តិការណ៍នេះឡើយ—នៅពេលដែលសញ្ញាសន្តិភាពត្រូវបានឆ្លើយតបដោយអំពើហិង្សា។
ពិភពលោកត្រូវតែដឹង។ យុត្តិធម៌ត្រូវតែមានសម្រាប់កម្ពុជាយើង។
