Cambodia and Thailand have finalized a comprehensive ceasefire agreement following a four-day General Border Committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which concluded on August 7, under the auspices of the US, China, and Malaysia.

The agreement, signed by Cambodian Minister of National Defence Tea Seiha and Thai acting defence minister Nattaphon Narkphanit, stipulates a ceasefire encompassing all types of weapons, including attacks on civilians, civilian objects, and military objectives.

Both countries commit to refrain from unprovoked firing towards each other’s positions or troops and maintain current troop deployments without further movement. They also pledge not to increase forces along the border, undertake provocative actions, or use force against civilians and civilian objects.

The agreement emphasizes adherence to international humanitarian law, particularly in treating captured soldiers, and calls for their immediate release and repatriation after hostilities cease.

Regular communications between army areas and military regions will be maintained, and a Regional Border Committee meeting will be held within two weeks. An Interim Observer Team will be established to monitor the ceasefire’s implementation.

Gyokeres Temporarily Crashed Arsenal’s Website

Shirt sales for Arsenal’s new signing Viktor Gyokeres have broken the club’s record.

While data from various outlets and retailers is still being analysed, it is already clear that demand for Gyokeres’ No 14 shirt exceeds that of any player in recent history.

There is, of course, a special significance to Gyokeres’ squad number. His preference is to wear No 9, but that is already occupied at Arsenal by Gabriel Jesus. Gyokeres then expressed a desire to wear 14 — the number worn by Arsenal’s record goalscorer, Thierry Henry.

To mark Gyokeres’ arrival, Arsenal offered to print his name on any of next season’s Arsenal shirts for free.

Demand was so high that the shop’s website temporarily crashed.

Victory has its rewards—and for the Super Falcons, national glory just became a personal one.

President Bola Tinubu has conferred the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on all 24 members of Nigeria’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad. At a special reception held in Abuja, the president praised the team’s resilience and excellence, calling them shining symbols of Nigerian pride.

In addition to the national honours, each player will receive the naira equivalent of $100,000. The technical crew were not left out, receiving $50,000 each in appreciation of their efforts in guiding the team to a historic 10th WAFCON title.
