CAMBODIA NEEDS PEACE
📍Military Operations
• Airstrikes & Artillery Fire
Thailand used F-16 fighter jets and artillery strikes targeting Cambodian positions along disputed areas, especially near Ta Muen Thom temple and other contested zones.
• Border Shelling
Cambodian border towns and infrastructure, including areas near homes and gas stations, were hit. This caused civilian casualties and destruction of property.
• Martial Law Declaration
Thailand declared martial law in several border districts to tighten security and give the military full control over movement and operations.
📍Diplomatic Moves
• Recalled Ambassador & Expelled Cambodian Envoy
Thailand downgraded diplomatic ties by recalling its ambassador from Phnom Penh and expelling Cambodia’s ambassador from Bangkok after a leaked phone call controversy.
• Rejection of Multilateral Mediation
Thailand rejected mediation by ASEAN and other international parties, insisting on bilateral-only negotiations.

📍Humanitarian Impact
• The Thai military’s attacks have led to at least 33 deaths (many civilians), over 210,000 displaced people, and damage to cultural and residential sites.
• Cambodia accused Thailand of using cluster munitions and targeting civilian infrastructure, though Thailand denies intentional targeting of non-military sites.
