Since 8 December 2025, Cambodia was deeply affected by renewed violence after Thailand carried out airstrikes and artillery attacks along the disputed border, causing casualties, damage to infrastructure, and forcing civilians to flee their homes. Beyond the immediate human suffering, the conflict disrupted everyday life and strained relations between the two nations. At a time when innocent people bear the greatest cost, there is an urgent need for peace, dialogue, and restraint, so both countries can protect lives, restore stability, and work toward a future free from conflict.

🌟 What Makes the South Gate Special
• Most popular and best-preserved gate of Angkor Thom.
• Features a dramatic causeway lined with 54 gods (devas) and 54 demons (asuras) — all pulling the serpent naga in a scene from the Churning of the Ocean of Milk.
• The gate tower rises about 23 meters, with four serene Bayon-style faces looking in the cardinal directions, symbolizing the all-seeing Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (or King Jayavarman VII).
