Dear President Donald J. Trump ,
On behalf of the people of Cambodia, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for President’s recent message addressing the crisis between Thailand and Cambodia. President’s voice has brought hope to our country during a time of fear, injustice, and suffering.
For many days now, Thailand—a country with far greater military and economic power—has launched attacks on Cambodian territory, bombing homes, markets, and villages. Innocent lives have been lost. Families have been forced to flee. And yet, their powerful media has spread false information across social platforms, blaming Cambodia for a war we did not start.
Let it be known: Cambodia does not want war. We only want peace. We only want to protect the land that is rightfully ours. We do not want one inch of Thai territory — we only ask to live safely on our own.
President’s message to Thailand was a strong step toward justice, and we are grateful for President’s courage to speak the truth. We humbly ask President to continue standing with the Cambodian people. President’s support means more than words can say.
