Last stop: Hong Kong! 🌆

It was so cool to finally see this wild city in person—it felt way different than we expected! We visited some of the main spots like Victoria Peak, the Avenue of Stars, and Tsim Sha Tsui, but honestly, just wandering around and exploring the city was the best part. Octopus card is highly recommended to buy, otherwise the city makes it really hard to rely on your credit card. 🏙️

Every street had its own vibe, and we loved stumbling across hidden gems, street markets, and random cool spots. The mix of old and new here is something else!

Continuing with Macau!

Early wake-up, tiredness, and warm, humid weather did not feel like shining through the city, but we arrived in the unique Macao!

At first, it felt like stepping into a dream—this place can’t be real! 😍 A quick tip: Klook didn’t work here, so we had to get a Macau Pass and some Patacas (their currency). 💸—not the simplest process, but we managed! Before arrival, I picked up a sim card that worked in Macau Hong Kong, and mainland China, at Taipei airport, so it's a good thing to consider if you cannot get it there; get it before.

Once we were settled, we explored the stunning Parisian, the grand Venetian, and the classy Londoner 🏰. Then, we stepped back into history at the iconic St. Paul’s Ruins and took a stroll through the bustling Senado Square. We both loved the authentic part of Macau :D

By the afternoon, we took a ferry to our next and last destination!

2024.09.28 Round trip first stop, Taiwan

Our roundtrip kicked off in Taiwan, and it was an amazing but a really difficult start as we could not get on the plane we booked because of some difficulties, never booked a plane on an airport, and I never want to do it again! We lost a half day, but it did not stop us, we got to explore so much and even caught up with an old friend. We visited iconic spots like Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the lively streets of Ximending, the charming old towns of Jiufen and Shifen, and, of course, the towering Taipei 101 🏙️✨

I made sure to book everything in advance, from a local SIM card to metro passes, and even loaded up an EasyCard with 200 NTD. 🚆 It made getting around super easy for our 2-day stay. Taiwan, you were efficient and incredible I wish to come back! ❤️

Fun fact: Taiwan's night markets are legendary, we tried so many tasty foods and their people are the friendliest :D

Yeongdeok ☀️

I will tell you a million times why I love the eastern seasides of Korea, the vibes the seaside, everything! Famous for its fresh, high-quality snow crab, it has become a must-visit for seafood lovers. The local crab market offers a unique experience where you can select live crabs and have them prepared on-site. Beyond the delicious food, the Yeongdeok coastline is stunning, with its beaches and cliffs.

We arrived here for a weekend getaway with friends to have some relaxing time, well, mission successfully completed 😁

Seoraksan National Park.

We arrived at the national park with the intentions of climbing, but the weather in Korea did not help this, as heavy rain and fog limited our visibility and made the trails slippery we had to delay this for another time. However, despite the weather, the beauty of Seoraksan National Park was still breathtaking. Known for its stunning granite peaks, clear streams, and dense forests, the park is one of Korea's most popular hiking destinations. Seoraksan is especially famous during the autumn season when the foliage turns vibrant shades of red and gold. The park is home to diverse wildlife and offers a variety of trails for all skill levels, including the challenging climb to the top of Daecheongbong Peak, which stands at 1,708 meters, making it the third-highest peak in South Korea.

Seoraksan National Park is also rich in cultural landmarks, including the Sinheungsa Temple, which houses the bronze Buddha statue, a symbol of peace and meditation, absolutely amazing I was so impressed! The cable car ride to Gwongeumseong Fortress is another highlight (that we could not try this time yet) offering stunning views of the park’s beauty.

Osaka-Kyoto-Nara aka. Kansai Region

In January we had an incredible time discovering the heart of Japan in the Kansai Region! From the bustling streets of Osaka to the tranquil temples of Kyoto and the ancient charm of Nara, this trip was a perfect blend of modern excitement and historical beauty.

Transportation tickets we used: Kansai Region Pass + Osaka Pass

Acommodation: APA Hotel Yodoyabashi Kitahama Ekimae, Osaka

2023.08.01-05 Jeju Island

After a ferry ride and arriving in Jeju City, we hit the road to start discovering half of the island! Our first stop was the iconic Yongduam Rock, also known as Dragon Head Rock.

Our trip continued to Hallim Park, a beautiful mix of botanical gardens, lava caves, and more! Visiting in August, we quickly learned that Jeju mosquitoes are no joke —so if you're heading this way, I highly recommend bringing a really nice bug repellent!

As this day was short we arrived to our accommodation in Seogwipo Eins Hotel.
We highly recommend this hotel it was close to everything we wanted and we could nicely travel around the island.

2023.08.01 - Ferry to Jeju Island

Most people fly to Jeju, but we decided to take the sea! Less traveled and hopped on a ferry with our car mostly with! 🚗⛴️ It was such a unique experience bringing our own vehicle along, which gave us so much more freedom to explore every hidden corner of the island. 🏞️

Taking the ferry to Jeju wasn’t the easiest choice, but it was definitely an experience! First, we had to make the trip down to Wando where we spent the night and started our journey the next morning.
