in the south of Italy, summer always brings out the same beloved ingredients: prosciutto, mozzarella, and pomodoro. 🌞🍅 I never thought I'd enjoy such simplicity, but once I tried it, I was hooked! 🤩 The combination of fresh mozzarella, salty prosciutto, and sweet tomatoes is pure magic. Want to know what makes it so special? Trust me, these three ingredients are all you need for the perfect summer bite! 😋✨
Ingredients:
2 ripe pomodoro (or other ripe tomatoes)
1 ball of fresh mozzarella
A handful of fresh basil leaves
Prosciutto (about 100g)
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar (optional)
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Slice the mozzarella into thick rounds, about 1 cm thick.
Slice the tomatoes in similar thickness.
Arrange the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil leaves on a large plate, alternating them.
Tear the prosciutto into small pieces and scatter over the salad.
Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar (if desired).
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately!
