Kate Powers Life in two countries—always home, never home. 🌏 Traded the 🇺🇸 9-5 life ➝ living + traveling in Asia. I am a teacher and I am a student. We are creators.

I teach leaders around the world to protect their mental health—and thrive. Dancing everywhere I went as a child fostered a lifelong love for creative movement and expression and an interest in the interconnectedness of the mind and body. I seek to encourage connection and community to empower individuals and organizations, to be a change agent of transformation through coaching, and to bridge Intrapreneurship with entrepreneurship.

Today, we know more than we ever have before. We see both the celebration and struggle of humanity, giving us greater awareness and more opportunities to take action.

We have endless opportunities to keep learning about the world—and about how connected we all are everywhere.

This country changed me forever. 🤍🌎

Have you been?

Even in the world’s darkest moments, there is so much magic in this world.

Let’s slow down~~~if we are rushing to get to the next destination, we miss the magic and joy of right now. This doesn’t mean life is always happy. Of course it’s not. It means there’s joy and beauty even in the hardest moments. Pause. Look up, look around. ✨🤍🌎

Want to learn about humanity, history, genocide, war, peace, health, wealth, healing, and rebuilding?

Travel after a global crisis—and listen to people. Especially people who see the world differently than you do.

Be challenged. Be curious. Be uncomfortable.

Thank you, world. Here’s my best souvenirs. 🤍🌎

I’m a Korean born American living in Korea. I saw another fight between Koreans and Korean Americans over on Tik Tok. There’s division and exclusion. I’ve experienced this myself from both. It’s made me reflect on something universal. 🌎 Here’s my perspective as someone who’s in the middle—an insider and an outsider—and what makes me proud to be a Korean, and an American. 🇰🇷🇺🇸🤍

Is change possible or impossible? What’s something you never thought you’d change your mind about? 👀

I’ll go first…

Korea has a long history of speaking up for freedom and liberation. Countries—and people—are more interconnected than you may think.

Demonstrations and protests in Korea are fascinating to me. They’re often huge, loud, and energetic. This was Saturday, August 15. How does this compare to protests where you live?

Should we hate people? South Korea’s brightest young teacher Jenny teaches us about love and hate. ❤️

Love doesn’t mean giving everyone access to you.
Love doesn’t mean tolerating harm.
Protecting yourself is love.
Love is liberation. 🤍🌎

It’s Korea’s Liberation Day—Gwangbokjeol—광복절.✨This holiday celebrates Korea’s freedom from Japanese rule.

Living in Korea taught me this about history—and liberation. 🤍🌎

Seven years ago, I took the biggest leap of faith of my lifetime. I wanted to get far outside my comfort zone. I wanted to expand my mind, my community, and my palate. I wanted to be challenged by very different ways of living.

Seven years later, it is the greatest success of my lifetime. But it changed me so much that I can’t go back to seeing the world—or myself—the way I did before. This is an immense and incredible gift. But it is never comfortable.

Has anything made you see life and the world differently? 🤍🌎
