Established in 2017, The Gray Matter Media & Contents began as a small production company with a big dream: to redefine the media landscape through innovation, creativity, excellence, and passion for storytelling.

The legacy of The Gray Matter Media extends far beyond my own contributions—it was founded by my aunt Aki and my father, Satoshi Gray, both of whom poured their hearts and souls into building the company from the ground up. Their journey began with a shared passion for the media industry; my father, a respected writer known for his work with SBS, and my aunt, a talented producer with a keen eye for storytelling.

From our humble beginnings to our current status in the media world, each milestone
represents a significant step in our journey of growth and success.

The release of our segment "The Great New Us" marked a significant milestone in our journey at The Gray Matter Media. This innovative project aimed to shine a spotlight on the creative minds behind some of the most beloved characters in literature, exploring the inspiration and
motivations that drive writers to bring their creations to life.

We recently had the privilege of sitting down with Gio Nathaniel Gray, the dynamic COO of The Gray Matter Media itself, for an insightful and engaging Q&A session hosted by Chloe Oh. As The Gray Matter Media joins us as one of the proud sponsors of The Return of the King II: The Rise of the Beasts, Nathan Gray shared his journey, vision for his brand, and excitement about supporting this highly anticipated event.

Together, we’ll unveil an untold narrative—the four stages of Genome’s renaissance—a compelling tale of transformation and triumph.

Chloe: How is The Gray Matter preparing for the Year-End Party?

Nathan: This year’s preparations are far more intricate and challenging than in previous years. While we’ve always poured our heart and soul into past coverages, we specialize in visual storytelling, leveraging our expertise in film, photography, and multimedia production more to create compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. This time, we’re pushing ourselves even further. Every detail has been carefully thought out, not just to meet expectations but to exceed them. Because the narrative of Genome Entertainment’s renaissance demands nothing less than our absolute best.

Chloe: What are your expectations for The Gray Matter's brand visibility and engagement duringthe event?

Nathan: We don’t set expectations, because we know exactly what Genome Entertainment is capable of. They consistently deliver top-tier content, grand promotions, and are always full of surprises. So, whatever they present, it will likely exceed anything you could have imagined—they alwaysgo beyond what you think they’re capable of.

Chloe: What is your vision for this partnership and its impact on the audience?

Nathan: The vision for this partnership is to create a transformative experience that redefines the intersection of music, media, foundation of transparency, comprehensive storytelling, and seamless collaboration. Our goal is to bring a clear and honest narrative to the forefront, ensuring the audience connects deeply with the story. This partnership not only showcases talent—we also envision our collaboration as an opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity, inspire audiences, and elevate the music industry to new heights.
