Frozen Indian Buffalo Sold as Australian Lamb in Kuwait City

In a joint raid, inspectors from the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and Capital Governorate Security, exposed a butcher shop involved in large-scale food fraud.

The shop was found forging invoices and selling frozen buffalo meat from India as fresh Australian lamb, deceiving consumers and violating food safety laws.

Authorities shut down the shop, destroyed the adulterated meat, and referred the workers for legal action. Officials warned of zero tolerance for food tampering or deception, reaffirming their commitment to public health and consumer protection.

263 arrested in Mahboula security raid targeting prostitution and visa violators.

The campaign achieved significant results, leading to the arrest of 263 individuals in total, including:

-203 violators of residency and labor laws
-23 individuals with outstanding arrest warrants

In case of wrong overtaking, intentionally obstructing traffic on roads and highways, and in No Parking areas, the vehicle will be confiscated for two months. The traffic police have started taking strict action against violations that cause obstruction of traffic on major roads across the country.

Motorists in Kuwait will have their vehicles impounded for two months in case they illegally overtake other drivers such as at U-turns, deliberately obstruct traffic on roads and highways or park in "no parking" spaces, according to a new circular issued by the Traffic General Department on Wednesday.

The circular puts into effect a previous announcement made by the Interior Ministry that traffic police were starting to take strict action against violations that cause obstruction of traffic on main roads around the country.

Three Kuwait Immigration Officers Caught Manipulating Travel Records

The Criminal Security Sector has arrested three employees from the General Department of Land Ports for tampering with the Ministry of Interior’s automated system that records travelers’ entry and exit.

Investigations revealed that two employees at Nuwaiseeb and Salmi Ports falsified data to show that two Kuwaiti women were in the country, allowing them to receive unlawful financial aid. Coordination with Saudi authorities confirmed the records were forged.

The suspects confessed to the crime and implicated a third colleague, who was also arrested. All three have been referred to the competent authorities.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and stressed that the law applies to everyone without exception.

Trump declares end of Gaza war as last Israeli hostages swapped for Palestinian detainees
CAIRO/JERUSALEM, Oct 13 (Reuters) -

Hamas freed the last living Israeli hostages from Gaza on Monday under a ceasefire deal and Israel sent home busloads of Palestinian detainees, as U.S. President Donald Trump declared the end of the two-year long war that has upended the broader Middle East.
Hours later, Trump convened Muslim and European leaders in Egypt to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip and the possibility of a wider regional peace, even as Hamas and Israel, both absent from the gathering, are yet to agree on the next steps.

The Israeli military said it had received all 20 hostages confirmed to be alive, after their transfer from Gaza by the Red Cross. The announcement prompted cheering, hugging and weeping among thousands waiting at "Hostage Square" in Tel Aviv.
In Gaza, thousands of relatives, many weeping with joy, gathered at a hospital where buses brought home some of the nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees to be freed by Israel as part of the accord.
"The skies are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens are still and the sun rises on a Holy Land that is finally at peace," Trump told the Knesset, Israel's parliament, saying a "long nightmare" for both Israelis and Palestinians was over.
