✈️ A Day in Cayman Brac with Restaurant Month 2025
This week, our Social Media Manager had the opportunity to experience Cayman Brac through the lens of food — guided by Marcus Mueri from Cayman Islands Tourism Association and hosted by Restaurant Month with travel courtesy of Cayman Airways Ltd.
The day began at the breathtaking Le Soleil d’Or, where we toured the hillside farm, sampled produce fresh from the land — including the fascinating magic berry that transforms sour into sweet — and enjoyed a memorable farm-to-table tasting. The avocado bruschetta and tomato bruschetta was a standout for its vibrant, honest flavor.
At the Alexander Hotel, two dishes stood out: the rich, slow-cooked stew oxtail and Chef Errol’s “Cayman Kiss” shrimp — tender, flavourful, and finished with a secret sauce that truly elevated the dish.
Next, we arrived at the Cayman Brac Beach Resort, where the views were absolutely stunning. We were seated overlooking the pool with the ocean just beyond — a postcard-perfect setting to enjoy our meal. Chef Costa personally came out to share insight into the dishes being prepared, adding a thoughtful, personal touch to the experience.
We closed the day at Star Island Restaurant, where the Cayman-style conch and turtle stew delivered bold, traditional flavors — the perfect end to an inspiring culinary journey.
Sincere thanks to Restaurant Month and CITA for hosting an unforgettable day in Cayman Brac — and to all the chefs and teams who made us feel so welcome.
It’s important that we continue to highlight our Sister Islands like Cayman Brac — not just for their natural beauty, but for the incredible culinary talent and cultural experiences they offer. These communities deserve our support, our recognition, and our appreciation.
