This morning, the sun did not rise as it usually does. Instead, a long night spilled over the balconies of my soul. I woke to find that the heartbeat which once fluttered through every corner of my home had fallen silent, and that the light which once shimmered in the eyes of Layl had gone out forever.
Oh, the tragedy of the fall… How can the earth be so cruel as it receives a body that believed itself as light as a breeze? Layl fell from the balcony while playing during our absence, and with him, my heart plunged into an endless abyss. As I rushed him to the clinic, he had already chosen eternal calm—departing in solemn silence, leaving behind a storm of grief that refuses to settle.
Layl has gone to join the procession of those who left before him—Sally and Similion—as if they had all conspired to leave my heart alone to face this emptiness. Layl was the light of my eyes, the pulse of my heart, the companion who never tired of stories. With his departure, the colors of the world faded, the spectrum around me withdrew, and I can now see nothing of existence but the black of his beautiful fur—once a source of comfort, now the very emblem of my sorrow.
My only solace is knowing that his soul now rests in a peace untouched by pain, and that his memory will remain etched deep within my heart—beating with every pulse, and shedding tears with every dawn that rises without his face
