பூலாச்சேனையில் கோழிக்கடை நடாத்திவரும் நரக்கள்ளியில் வசித்து வருபவருமான முஹம்மத் ஜாபிர் அவர்களுடய மகன் முஹம்மத் ஜப்ரான் அவர்கள் 03 தினங்களுக்கு முன்னர் தில்லையடி பகுதியில் இடம்பெற்ற விபத்தில் காயமடைந்த நிலையில் கொழும்பு வைத்தியசாலையில் அதி தீவிர சிகிச்சை பிரிவில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில் தற்போது சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி வபாத்தாகியுள்ளார் இன்னாலில்லாஹி வயின்னாயிலைஹி ராஜிவூன்.

வீட்டிற்க்கு ஓர் ஆண்பிள்ளையாக இருந்து மிக விரைவில் திருமண பந்தத்தில் இனைந்து கொள்ளவிருந்த இந்த இளைஞனின் மரணம் குடும்பத்திற்கும் ஊருக்கும் பெரும் சோகத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது

OBITUARY NOTICE

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Former Member of Parliament, Mr. M.I.M. Abdul Majeed, affectionately known to many as “SSP Majeed.”
The late Mr. Abdul Majeed was a distinguished former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the Sri Lanka Police, a respected public servant, an accomplished national rugby player who represented both the Sri Lanka National Rugby Team and the Sri Lanka Police Rugby Team, and later served as a Member of Parliament (2000–2002) representing the United National Party (UNP).
He passed away peacefully today at the age of 82 at his residence in Kirulapone, Colombo.
His remains will be taken to his hometown of Pottuvil, where the funeral arrangements will take place.
Details of the Janāzah and burial arrangements will be announced later.
Family members respectfully request relatives, friends, former parliamentary colleagues, and well-wishers in Sri Lanka and abroad to keep the deceased in their duʿā’.
