A tragic crash in Germany on September 7, 2025, left a 43-year-old man and two nine-year-old children dead after their Tesla veered off the road in the village of Villigst, hit a tree, and burst into flames. A third child, also nine, survived with injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

A local shop owner rushed over with a fire extinguisher but was unable to open the car’s electronic doors, which reportedly failed to deploy after the crash cut power.

Firefighters had to put out the fire multiple times before finding the victims burned inside.

Police are investigating both the cause of the crash and whether the vehicle’s systems, including its electronic doors, played a role.

Mercedes-AMG is developing a new high-tech, electrified V-8 engine as the natural successor to the M178, set to debut on the AMG.EA platform. While exact specs are still under wraps, AMG suggests this engine will exceed the 720 hp output of the GT Black Series, deliver sharper throttle response, and meet upcoming Euro 7 efficiency standards.

Ford CEO Jim Farley says the classic Mustang will never go fully electric.
The iconic pony car will keep its V8 roar alive, even as the world shifts to EVs. 🐎🔥

Yes, there’s a Mustang Mach-E SUV, and hybrids may come…
But the two-door legend stays true to its muscle car soul.

Some cars aren’t meant to be silent. They’re meant to roar.✨

Honda is discontinuing the Civic Type R in Europe by 2026 due to stricter emissions rules. To mark its farewell, Honda will release a limited “Ultimate Edition” only 40 units finished in Championship White with red graphics, carbon-fiber accents, and exclusive collector items.

The move ends the Civic Type R’s 25-year hot hatch legacy in Europe, making this potentially the last of its kind a front-wheel-drive, manual, high-performance hatchback.

BMW has confirmed that the new 2026 M2 CS will not offer a manual transmission, and the decision wasn’t taken lightly.

Despite being a high-performance driver’s special, BMW M boss Frank van Meel revealed that including a manual gearbox would have required lowering the car’s torque output—undermining its full potential.

According to BMWBLOG, Van Meel explained at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este that the six-speed manual couldn’t handle the torque needed for the M2 CS to exceed 500 horsepower.

The only way they made it work on the ultra-limited 3.0 CSL was by reducing torque to preserve gearbox reliability—something BMW didn’t want to repeat on a car expected to see wider production and more aggressive use.

As a result, the M2 CS comes exclusively with the eight-speed M Steptronic automatic, delivering 523 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque—figures that match the all-wheel-drive M4.

While purists may be disappointed, BMW prioritized performance and durability over nostalgia.

Bugatti has confirmed that it is entirely sold out until 2029. The company is committed to producing 250 units of its upcoming Tourbillon, a hybrid hypercar with a V16 engine and three electric motors delivering around 1,800 horsepower, along with finishing production of the current Bolide track car. With that workload, there is no room for new orders until 2029.

Nissan R35 GT-R Production Ends After 18 Years

Nissan has officially ended production of the legendary R35 GT-R, closing an incredible 18-year chapter in automotive history.

The final units were assembled at the Tochigi plant in Japan, the last market where the GT-R was still sold. Since its debut in 2007, the R35 has stood as a true icon of performance and engineering, with around 48,000 units produced worldwide.

The very last car to roll off the line is a Premium edition T-Spec in Midnight Purple, set to be delivered to a lucky customer in Japan.

Nissan President & CEO, Ivan Espinosa, shared:

“After 18 remarkable years, the R35 GT-R has left an enduring mark on automotive history. To the many fans of the GT-R worldwide, this isn’t a goodbye forever our goal is for the GT-R nameplate to one day make a return.”

From the streets to the track, the R35 GT-R will forever be remembered as Godzilla a car that redefined supercar performance.

In a move no one saw coming, Mercedes-Benz is preparing to source engines from BMW starting in 2027. Reports suggest Mercedes will adopt BMW’s 2.0L B48 turbo engine, known for its modular design and hybrid compatibility, to power upcoming models like the CLA, GLA, GLB, C-Class, and even the new “Little G” off-roader.

The surprising collaboration comes as Mercedes faces tariff and technical issues with its own new engine lineup. For BMW, the deal means higher production volumes and the bragging rights of powering its fiercest rival. For Mercedes, it’s about meeting Euro 7 standards, cutting R&D costs, and expanding its plug-in hybrid offerings. A full announcement could arrive by late 2025 — shaking up one of the fiercest rivalries in automotive history.
