: GCash User Data Allegedly Sold on Dark Web — Millions of Accounts Affected
GCash user data dark web හි විකුණා ඇත - ගිණුම් මිලියන ගණනක් බලපෑමට ලක්ව ඇත!
G-Xchange/ GCash සම්බන්ධ යැයි කියනු ලබන Data leak එකක් සිදු වී ඇතැයි dark web forum එකක පල වී තිබේ. Oversleep8351 නම් user කෙනෙකු විසින් කරන ලද මෙම post එකෙන්, 2019 සිට 2025 ඔක්තෝබර් දක්වා eKYC (Know Your Customer) තොරතුරු, සම්බන්ධිත බැංකු ගිණුම් සහ GCash අංක ඇතුළුව වාර්තා අලෙවි කර ඇති බව ද සඳහන් වේ.
ලැයිස්තුගත කිරීමට අනුව, data වල merchant සහ basic users යන දෙකම ඇතුළත් වේ - ඔවුන්ගේ නම්, ලිපින, රැකියා සහ වලංගු පිලිපීන හැඳුනුම්පත් වැනි පුද්ගලික තොරතුරු සියල්ල ද ඇතුලත් වේ.
Seller කියා සිටින්නේ මේ ඩම්ප් එකේ මිලියන 7-8 ක් දක්වා users ලා සිටින බවත්, ඩොලර් 25,000 දක්වා මිල ගණන් යටතේ bulk ලෙස offer කරන බවත් බවත්, Monero (XMR) Crypto currency හරහා පමණක් ගෙවිය යුතු බවත්ය.
Forum එකේ සටහනේ සඳහන් වන්නේ සියලුම දත්ත “uncategorized” බවයි, එනම් ඒවා manually sort කළ යුතු බවත්, seller පෙර dark web ගනුදෙනු වලින් “exsisting buyers” සමඟ පමණක් ගනුදෙනු කරන බවත් ය.
මෙය තහවුරු වුවහොත්, මෙය මේ දක්වා පිලිපීන ෆින්ටෙක් සමාගමක් සම්බන්ධ විශාලතම යැයි කියන data leak වලින් එකක් වනු ඇත.
A data leak allegedly involving G-Xchange/GCash has surfaced on a dark web forum. The post, made by a user named Oversleep8351, claims to be selling records from 2019 up to October 2025, including eKYC (Know Your Customer) information, linked bank accounts, and GCash numbers.
According to the listing, the data includes both merchant and basic users — with personal details such as names, addresses, employment, and even valid Philippine IDs. The seller claims the dump contains up to 7–8 million users, offered in bundles priced up to $25,000, payable only through Monero (XMR) cryptocurrency.
The forum post states that all data is “unorganized,” meaning it must be sorted manually, and that the seller will only deal with “existing buyers” from previous dark web transactions.
If confirmed, this would be one of the largest alleged data leaks involving a Philippine fintech company to date.
