අද අපි ඉගෙන ගන්නේ ලේඛන කලාවේදී (Writing) වගේම කථන ඉංග්‍රීසි (Spoken English) වඩාත් ප්‍රබල සහ උසස් මට්ටමකට (Advanced Level) ගෙන යන්න උදව් වෙන, නිතරම වරදින තැන් 3ක් නිරවුල් කරගන්න පුළුවන් ප්‍රබල ව්‍යාකරණ රටා 3ක්. ඒ තමයි "On the verge of","In compliance with", සහ "By virtue of".

1. On the verge of (... වීමට ඔන්න මෙන්න / ... අද්දර)

යම්කිසි ඉතා වැදගත්, හැරවුම් ලක්ෂ්‍යයක් බඳු සිදුවීමක් හෝ වෙනසක් සිදුවීමට ඉතාමත් ආසන්න මොහොතක පවතින බව පෙන්වීමට මෙය භාවිත කරනවා. (සරලවම "Very close to experiencing or doing something" කියන අදහසයි).

ව්‍යාකරණ නීතිය:මෙහි `of` නිපාත පදයක් (Preposition) නිසා, ඉන් පසුව යෙදිය යුත්තේ නාමපදයක් (Noun) හෝ V+ing (Gerund)ආකෘතියකි.
The company is on the verge of bankruptcy. (සමාගම බංකොලොත් වීමට ඔන්න මෙන්නය.)
She was on the verge of crying when she heard the news. (ඇයට ඒ පුවත ඇසෙද්දී ඇඬෙන්නට ඔන්න මෙන්න තිබුණි.)

2. In compliance with (... අනුකූලව / ... නීතිරීතිවලට එකඟව)

යම්කිසි නිල නීතියක්, රෙගුලාසියක්, නියෝගයක් හෝ සම්මතයකට සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම එකඟව සහ ඊට අවනතව යමක් සිදු කරන විට මෙය යොදාගන්නවා. (සරලවම "According to a rule or order" කියන අදහසයි).

නීතිය: `In compliance with` වලට පසුව සැමවිටම යෙදෙන්නේ අදාළ නීතිය, කොන්දේසිය හෝ රෙගුලාසිය දක්වන නාමපද වාක්‍ය ඛණ්ඩයකි.
The building was constructed in compliance with safety regulations. (ගොඩනැගිල්ල ඉදිකර ඇත්තේ ආරක්ෂක රෙගුලාසිවලට අනුකූලවය.)
We must act in compliance with the law. (අප නීතියට අනුකූලව කටයුතු කළ යුතුය.)

3. By virtue of (... බලයෙන් / ... හේතුවෙන් / ... සතු විශේෂ සුදුසුකම නිසා)

යම්කිසි පුද්ගලයෙකුට හෝ දෙයකට ලැබී ඇති විශේෂ තත්ත්වයක්, නිල බලයක්, දක්ෂතාවයක් හෝ ස්වභාවයක් හේතුවෙන් යම් අයිතිවාසිකමක් හෝ ප්‍රතිඵලයක් හිමිවන විට එය හැඳින්වීමට මෙය යොදා ගනී. (සරලවම "Because of" හෝ "As a result of a special quality/position" කියන අදහසයි).

නීතිය: `By virtue of` වලට පසුව අදාළ බලය, තත්ත්වය හෝ සුදුසුකම හැඟවෙන නාමපදයක් යෙදේ.
She joined the board by virtue of her vast experience. (ඇයගේ පුළුල් අත්දැකීම් හේතුවෙන් ඇය පාලක මණ්ඩලයට එක් වූවාය.)
He has authority by virtue of his position as manager. (කළමනාකරු ලෙස ඔහුගේ තනතුරේ බලයෙන් ඔහුට බලතල ඇත.)

1: On the verge of (... වීමට ඔන්න මෙන්න)

අද අපි ඉගෙන ගන්නේ විධිමත් ලිපි ලේඛන (Professional Writing) වගේම උසස් මට්ටමේ දේශන සහ සාකච්ඡාවලදී (Advanced Spoken English) නිතරම භාවිත වෙන, වාක්‍යවල ගලායාම ඉතාමත් ලස්සන කරන ප්‍රබල ව්‍යාකරණ රටා 3ක්. ඒ තමයි "For lack of","In anticipation of", සහ "Irrespective of".

1. For lack of (... හිඟකම නිසා / ... නැතිකම හේතුවෙන්)

යම්කිසි වැඩක් නතර වීමට, අසාර්ථක වීමට හෝ වෙනස් මට්ටමකින් සිදුවීමට ප්‍රධානතම හේතුව යමක ඇති අඩුපාඩුව, හිඟකම හෝ නැතිකම බව පෙන්වීමට මෙය භාවිත කරනවා. (සරලවම "Because there was not enough of something" කියන අදහසයි).

ව්‍යාකරණ නීතිය: `For lack of` වලට පසුව සැමවිටම යෙදෙන්නේ හිඟකම පවතින අදාළ වස්තුව හෝ ගුණය දක්වන නාමපදයක් (Noun).
The project failed for lack of funds. (ප්‍රතිපාදන හිඟකම නිසා ව්‍යාපෘතිය අසාර්ථක විය.)
For lack of a better option, we stayed at home. (වඩා හොඳ විකල්පයක් නොතිබූ නිසා (නැතිකම හේතුවෙන්), අපි නිවසේ නතර වුණෙමු.)

2. In anticipation of (... අපේක්ෂාවෙන් / ... සිදුවේ යැයි සිතා සූදානම් වීමක් ලෙස)

අනාගතයේදී යම්කිසි දෙයක් සිදුවීමට නියමිත බව හෝ සිදුවිය හැකි බව කලින්ම තේරුම් ගෙන, ඊට සූදානමක් හෝ පෙරනිමිත්තක් ලෙස වර්තමානයේදී යම් ක්‍රියාවක් කරන විට මෙය යොදාගන්නවා. (සරලවම "Expecting something to happen and preparing for it" කියන අදහසයි).

නීතිය: `In anticipation of` වලට පසුව සැමවිටම යෙදෙන්නේ අප බලාපොරොත්තු වන හෝ අපේක්ෂා කරන සිදුවීම දක්වන නාමපදයකි.
They bought extra food in anticipation of the storm. (කුණාටුවක් අපේක්ෂාවෙන් ඔවුහු අමතර ආහාර මිලදී ගත්හ.)
The hotel was decorated in anticipation of the festival. (උත්සවය අපේක්ෂාවෙන් හෝටලය සරසා තිබුණි.)

3. Irrespective of (... සලකා බැලීමකින් තොරව / ... කුමන තත්ත්වයක් වුවද)

ජාතිය, ආගම, වයස, තරාතිරම, පිරිවැය හෝ බාහිරින් බලපාන වෙනත් කිසිදු සාධකයකින් තොරව, සැමටම පොදුවේ හෝ අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම යමක් සිදුවන බව අවධාරණය කිරීමට මෙය යොදා ගනී. (සරලවම "Regardless of" හෝ "Without considering" කියන අදහසයි).

නීතිය: `Irrespective of` වලට පසුව සාමාන්‍යයෙන් සාධකය හැඟවෙන නාමපදයක් හෝ `what / how / whether` වැනි පදවලින් ආරම්භ වන කෙටි වාක්‍ය ඛණ්ඩයක් යෙදේ.
The rules apply to everyone, irrespective of their status. (ඔවුන්ගේ තරාතිරම සලකා බැලීමකින් තොරව නීති සැමටම අදාළ වේ.)
Irrespective of the cost, we must finish this task. (පිරිවැය කුමන තත්ත්වයක් වුවද, අප මෙම කාර්යය අවසන් කළ යුතුය.)

1: For lack of (... හිඟකම නිසා / නැතිකම හේතුවෙන්)

1. The plant died for lack of water. (ජලය හිඟකම නිසා ශාකය මියගියේය.)
2. The match was abandoned for lack of proper lighting. (නිසි ආලෝකය නොමැතිකම හේතුවෙන් තරගය අතහැර දමන ලදී.)
3. She couldn't apply for the job for lack of experience. (අත්දැකීම් හිඟකම නිසා ඇයට එම රැකියාවට අයදුම් කිරීමට නොහැකි විය.)
