ඉතිහාසයේ පළමු වතාවට ශ්‍රී ලාංකික මවක් කොළඹදී පවුද්ගලික රෝහලකදී ළමුන් 6ක් බිහි කරයි.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පලමු වරට, 31 හැවිරිදි මවක් කොළඹ පෞද්ගලික රෝහලකදී සිසේරියන් සැත්කමකින් පිරිමි ළමයින් තිදෙනෙකු සහ ගැහැණු ළමයින් තිදෙනෙකු බිහි කර ඇත.
මහාචාර්ය ටිරාන් ඩයස්ගේ රැකවරණය යටතේ පෙ.ව. 12:16 සිට 12:18 දක්වා මිනිත්තු දෙකක් ඇතුළත මෙලෙස දරුවන් බිහිකර ඇත. මව සහ අලුත උපන් බිළිඳුන් හය දෙනාම හොඳ සෞඛ්‍ය තත්වයෙන් සිටින බව රෝහල් බලධාරීන් සඳහන් කරයි.

For the first time in Sri Lanka, a 31-year-old mother has given birth to three boys and three girls by caesarean section at a private hospital in Colombo.
The babies were delivered within two minutes between 12:16 and 12:18 am on October 2021 under the care of Professor Tiran Dias. Hospital authorities say that the mother and all six newborns are in good health.
