My peace is my greatest success.
On the days no one came to save me,
I became my own shelter.
The woman I was, was never weak;
she was braver than the weight she carried,
stronger than the storms that shaped her.
I forgive those who hurt me,
and I forgive myself
for surviving the only way I knew how.
The burdens I carried were never my fault.
The wounds I bear are not my shame.
I spent years being good to everyone,
learning now, slowly and kindly,
to be good to myself.
From broken pieces, I rose—
not untouched,
but beautiful in my becoming.
I no longer live to be wounded.
I choose to live to heal.
This chapter of my story
belongs to gentleness, truth, and rest.
