Today, we remember May 18, 2009 – a day that marked the end of the decades-long civil war in Sri Lanka.
🕊️ 16 years later, we stand together in peace because of the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of our armed forces. They fought with courage to protect our nation’s sovereignty and bring an end to years of conflict.
🎖️ To the soldiers, officers, and their families – we owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.
Let us honor their memory and work together for a peaceful, united, and strong Sri Lanka.
