Had the opportunity of attending the "Materials Engineering Symposium" (MESII 2024) at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Moratuwa as an old graduate, industry professional and moreover as a Poster Presentation Evaluator. (held last week)

The Chief Guest was our own Managing Director, Mr. Mahendra Jayasekara.

It was evident that the materials engineering undergraduates are going deeper in to magnitude of research areas and subjects. nanotech, biotech, food, metal, waste recycling, sustainability, advance polymers, advance ceramics, are few areas.

The experience as an evaluator was also facinating. Other than just the evaluation, I hope I was able to give good constructive feedback to the undergrads to broaden their horizons and their thinking patterns.
