So I went to the Colombo International Book Fair 2022, and I have to say, if you are going there in search of the latest books, you are going to be disappointed. What’s more, before you buy a certain book, make sure to compare it with other book stores. Due to the new Dollar rate, the prices of books have gone sky high. For example, a book I got for 1600 rupees is now almost 5000 rupees.

Coincidentally, we are resuming our book quiz on Literacy Month, September! After the power cuts since April, we are resuming our quiz with questions from many of your favourite books.

Navindu was able to join Pick a Book Sri Lanka’s Junior Readathlon held at the Jake Hilton premises in Colombo as a guest speaker. From ‘Rathu Car Podda’, which his mother read to him when he was a toddler, to the publication of his own collection of short stories at the age of 13, he was able to give a meaningful lecture on his life with books and what he got out of it and Pick a Book. The main purpose of this lecture was to motivate more people to read.
