What started as a minor disagreement sadly escalated into a heated confrontation between members of the District 17 Students Union and some youth representatives during the District Sitting.

This unfortunate incident disrupted what was supposed to be a peaceful and productive gathering focused on development, unity, and the future of District 17.

Many citizens have expressed disappointment over the clash, calling on both groups to exercise maturity, respect, and self-control in handling disagreements.

District sittings are meant to promote dialogue, solutions, and togetherness — not confusion and division.

Our district can only move forward when the youth and student community work hand in hand with mutual understanding and respect.
