Benedict Reeves Joins Mighty Eagle on One-Year Deal

BUCHANAN, LIBERIA — Former assistant coach of Des Moines United FC in Buchanan, Benedict Reeves, has completed a move to Mighty Eagle, signing a one-year deal with the club.

Reeves brings coaching experience and a strong understanding of football in Grand Bassa County to his new position. His previous involvement with Des Moines United FC gave him valuable experience working with players and contributing to the club’s technical setup.

His arrival is expected to strengthen Mighty Eagle’s technical team as the club prepares for upcoming football competitions. The club is looking to build a competitive squad and improve its overall performance on the domestic football scene.

Reeves is expected to begin work with the Mighty Eagle technical setup immediately, with his experience and knowledge of local football seen as an important addition to the club.

The one-year agreement gives Reeves an opportunity to contribute to Mighty Eagle’s ambitions while continuing his development as a coach in Liberian football.

LFA Congratulates Cllr. Sayor on Graduating from the FIFA Master Program

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) extends its warmest congratulations to Cllr. K. Jlayteh Sayor, Chairman of the LFA Legal Committee, on successfully graduating from the prestigious FIFA Master (International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport) program in Switzerland.

The FIFA Master — International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport — is a one-year postgraduate program founded in 2000 and organized by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) with the support of FIFA.

Cllr. Sayor commenced this rigorous academic journey while serving as an elected member of the LFA Executive Committee (EC)—an initiative substantially funded by the LFA as part of its commitment to capacity building and institutional excellence.

Ensuring that the LFA continues to benefit from his legal expertise and knowledge gained, Cllr. Sayor retained his role as Chairman of the Legal Committee.

Grand Bassa County Kicks Off Player Identification Ahead of National County Sports Meet

FC Fassell Unveil Spanish Coach Vicente Parras on Two-Year Deal

Liberian First Division champions FC Fassell have officially unveiled experienced Spanish coach Vicente Parras as their new head coach on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 football season. The appointment marks another significant step in the club's ambition to strengthen its technical department as it prepares to defend its domestic title and compete for more silverware.

Parras arrives in Liberia with an impressive coaching résumé spanning more than three decades. A UEFA Pro Licence holder, the 50-year-old has managed several clubs in Spain, including Elche CF, CD Alcoyano, Ontinyent CF, and CD Teruel. He is widely recognized for his tactical discipline, player development, and ability to build competitive teams.
