BSA Raises Alarm Over Critical Challenges Ahead of the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet
Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County โ December 8, 2025:๏ฟฝThe Media Chairman and Official Spokesperson of the Bassa Sports Association (BSA), Mr. Alexander Musa, Jr., has raised serious concerns about the troubling conditions facing the Association less than a week before the kickoff of the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet.
Addressing journalists on Monday, Mr. Musa disclosed that the BSA is confronted with significant logistical and financial constraints that are undermining its preparation for the national tournament. He cited the lack of camp wear, football boots, and other essential materials as major impediments currently affecting the team.
Even more alarming, he stated, is the threat facing players who may soon be removed from their camping facilities due to the Associationโs inability to meet financial obligations.
Mr. Musa earnestly appealed to the Grand Bassa County authorities, stakeholders, and citizens to urgently intervene, stressing that the situation risks bringing the county into public embarrassment if left unresolved.
He further clarified that the BSA has not received the US$40,000 previously promised by the County Leadershipโfunds that are critical to sustaining the teamโs operations and settling existing debts with service providers.
