Cars from Cash Gift. Police IG Gregory Coleman has to RESIGN. He’s Compromised.

Martin K. N. Kollie writes ✍️

The Cartel MUST be dismantled. As a country, this could just be our last opportunity to dismantle it.

There should be no sacred cow in this national fight against drug traffickers and drug trafficking organizations (DTOs). Any current or past government official who’s linked to and connected with drug trafficking should be made to fully account for what they have done to our country 🇱🇷.

We are now turning on the Liberia National Police (LNP). Tighten your seat belt. We are firstly starting with the cars that were procured from abroad. These are 100% verifiable facts that neither IG Coleman nor anyone can deny:

1) This is your first time to have seen these cars (black jeeps). They were bought and are owned by the Liberia National Police. These vehicles are NOT government-procured or government-funded cars. No PPCC. No GSA. No GOL funding. Nothing at all. The Police IG has already admitted to these hard facts/truths. If he denies, then we move to the next level.

2) These cars, valued at over US$150K, were procured for and/or purchased with cash from Police IG Gregory Coleman.

3) The IG received cash gift to buy these cars, and again the cash did not come from the government and/or the police budget. Beside these, some cars were also gifted in Liberia.

4) The 3 cars were bought in Minnesota, USA, by IG Coleman’s buddy, Jose Quintin Russell, whom he since brought from the USA to work in fleet management at the Liberia National Police. Jose is the brother of Wynfred Russell.

5) The car has already been procured and is being shipped to Liberia. The IG has already admitted to all of these. For instance, one of the jeeps that’s directly for IG Coleman was bought for over US$90,000.

It’s important to note that while Jose Quintin Russell operates at the LNP fleet management unit, he also owns (40%) and runs a private maintenance and motor vehicle dealership (garage) in Congo Town where LNP cars are sometimes maintained/repaired (contracts). We have attached snippets of Jose’s business registration documents.

We will give the IG the benefit of the doubt to confess. We will give him up to 48 hours to address these hard facts of the “3 cash-gifted cars” as we roll out more pieces of evidence. Since this is not from the government, who gave IG Coleman the money to buy them? The IG stuttered or fumbled for several minutes just to answer this simple question. Fellow Liberians, please be patient. We will get there soon. This is an evidence-based exercise. No rush.

We call on the police IG to immediately resign and step aside from all proceedings of the US$336 million investigation, because he’s compromised and he has had direct links/relationships/conversations with the Cartel including Leroy Harris.

Please go and listen to IG Coleman's response today on Johnny Bolar Dean’s question. It speaks volume. Why should Johnny even be out of prison? Bolar was coached to LIE that he only received US$10,000 in bribes from the Drug Cartel. The truth is that the Cartel helped to fund his 5-month housing project like they funded private projects of other senior officers in many ways. Bolar, IG Coleman’s righthand man, built and finished a new house in New Georgia from this scandal. He has since assigned security there for no one to photograph/videotape. It’s late. We will upload the photos.

It was Coleman who brought Bolar back into the Police Force after Johnny Bolar Dean was accused, investigated, dismissed in 2015 for providing assistance to armed robbers when he served as Commander of the Anti-Robbery Unit. IG Coleman brought him back and rewarded him with the position of Commissioner of Police. He admitted of receiving “US$10K” but IG Coleman says he’s blame-free. How, when you brought him back? The same IG recommended and positioned Biago at LDEA, but he says he does not know anything. This same IG ordered Chief of Highway Patrol Wadell W. Kwarbo to es**rt the Van which had the US$317 million drugs. But he claims that he takes no blame. How? More than 5 high ranking police officers (ACPs, DCPs, CPs, etc.) who directly surrounded IG Gregory Coleman have all been dismissed and/or suspended for their links to the Drug Cartel. But the IG sits there every day and pretends. Where is dereliction of duty in all of these? Where is command responsibility? Where is respondeat superior? This will not work. The Liberian people can be assured. We are on it. Everyone (past and current officials) MUST fully account void of partisanship and patronage. This is a war between the Liberian people and the Drug Cartel.

The hard truth is that the Drug Cartel succeeded in infiltrating and neutralizing the national security sector, especially the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) and the Liberia National Police (LNP). We have not said anything yet. Just starting. We will release more on the Cartel and their accomplices. The Cartel MUST be dismantled once and for all in order to save Liberia and the future of our children and youth.

We promised to fight for tens of thousands of Liberian families, especially grieving parents, who’ve lost their children to drugs and graveyards. We won’t rest until this promise is fulfilled. The truth is stubborn. Liberia First, Liberia Forever.

Sen. Cllr Augustine S. Chea ✍️👇

Why are Gregory Coleman and the Unity Party after Senator Konneh?

The police cannot reasonably assume that Senator Amara Konneh personally knows the identities of the main drug cartel members in the country simply because he, like other members of the public, has questioned why low-level suspects have been arrested while higher-level actors remain free. More importantly, the allegation of high-level state involvement did not originate with Senator Konneh. It was the Inspector-General of Police himself who publicly stated that "key state-actors" were connected to the drug trade. The IGP has also publicly alleged that cartel money reached members of the media, but he has not produced the evidence the Press Union requested or made an arrest.

The IGP therefore bears responsibility for substantiating and pursuing the serious allegations he made. Senator Konneh's demand that the "key state-actors" be identified does not, by itself, mean that he personally possesses knowledge of their identities or evidence against them.

The statement by Senator Konneh can reasonably be understood as political criticism and a demand for accountability, particularly against the background of IGP Coleman himself making serious public allegations about media people being bribed by the cartel and that high-level state-actors are connected with the drug trade.

It does not automatically become a criminal offense simply because the police disagree with it.

In fact, Article 15(c) of the Constitution specifically protects the public's right to information about government and its functionaries.

It is the IGP who should be under investigation. He should not be beyond scrutiny while a lawmaker who questions the police investigation is summoned to identify the main cartel members.

If the police cannot identify an independent criminal offense committed by Senator Konneh, using police powers against him because of his criticism amounts to retaliatory justice; i.e., using the machinery of law enforcement to intimidate or silence critics rather than to pursue genuine criminal accountability.

This raises a serious constitutional concern because legitimate criticism and legislative oversight must not be converted into a criminal offense simply because they are uncomfortable for those in power.

"Strange things are happening" again!
