Jungle Energy Power Users to Experience Power Outage

The Management of Jungle Energy Power has informed the public about a power outage intended to take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026 and Saturday May 30, 2026, at 5:00a.m to 6:00p.m following a network problem in Ivory Coast

In a worded notification on the company's official page, the power shortage is intended to "address issues within the network" from the Ivorian counterpart. The company "kindly ask all customers to make the necessary preparations to manage the situation during the shortage period and apologized for any inconvenience it may cause you."

‎LEMCOL Holds Constituency Engagement With Citizens, Rep. Samuel Brown in Nimba District #1

‎Ganta, Nimba........The Legislative Monitoring Coalition of Liberia (LEMCOL) on May 23, 2026 held a day-long constituency engagement with citizens of District #1 in Ganta, Nimba County, bringing together members of the Christian and Muslim communities, elders, students, and local leaders.

‎Speaking during the engagement, Ms. Edwina Frankyu of IREED emphasized the importance of LEMCOL’s work in monitoring the Legislature and promoting advocacy, transparency, accountability, and citizens’ participation in decision-making processes.
‎
‎Also speaking, Mr. Felton T. Mennoh, Deputy Program Manager of IDAD, presented an overview of legislative performance from February to March 2026. According to him, 39 plenary sessions were monitored with 100 percent session openness, while 40 bills and communications were tracked during the period.
‎
‎For his part, District #1 Representative Hon. Samuel N. Brown Sr. praised the organizers for creating the platform to engage citizens.
‎
He highlighted several development initiatives in the district, including road grading, market and fire service projects, and support to local authorities with equipment.
‎
‎The lawmaker also called on the government to increase civil servants’ salaries, improve the health sector, and invest more in agriculture to reduce Liberia’s dependence on imported rice.
‎
He further promised to summon the Ministry of Public Works to provide updates on road projects in the district, a statement that was welcomed by citizens attending the meeting.

The program brought together Members of NISU, Ministry of Youth and Sports, The Presidents Youth Advisory Council, Stateholders, and Students. The event was headed under the Ganta Global Methodist Gymnasium.

Lofa.., May 24, 2026 – Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Thomas Fallah, has disclosed that 49 of the 73 lawmakers of the House of Representatives have agreed to support President Joseph N. Boakai's re-election in 2029, while he (Fallah) will serve as the "vision bearer to drive the journey."

Fallah has assured the President that they do not intend for any favors, but conviction: "We are clear, Mr. President. We do not need any favor. We have come here with conviction."

Fallah declared, "We believed; our country is on the right path. We believe that under your leadership, you have done exceptionally well."

The Deputy Speaker also noted that with 49 of them, they can deliver half a million votes: "49 of us have decided to give you our fullest support. The strategy is easy. We know what to say to our people. 49 of us could deliver more than half a million votes. We are with you, Mr. President."

"Stop The Spread of Misinformation" ministry of Health warms while- Paola N. Bedell, the main suspect in the spread of false information claiming an official Ebola outbreak declaration in Liberia has been apprehended and turned over to the Liberia National Police For investigation.

They have also urged the public to trust information from Ministry of Health Republic of Liberia and National Public Health Institute of Liberia.

As for safely measures; MOH has also urged all citizens to wash their hands, avoid bodily fluids, and report all related cases.
