Thanks and appreciation to the citizens of the county especially those who turned out on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, for the launch of the Margibi Safe Drinking Water Project in the Dartu-Ta community in District 3.
Senator Nuquay described the attendance and support of the citizens as a demonstration of commitment to development needs.
Speaking at the launch of the water project, Senator Nuquay asserted that during the campaign tour for the 2020 Special Senatorial Election, the citizens, including those of Dartu-Ta made a request for the provision of safe drinking water and that the acquisition of drilling rig was to response to their request.
He added that to further support the quest of the citizens, two surveys were conducted in 2021 and 2022. It was concluded that the findings restated similar demand for safe drinking water, road
connectivity, healthcare and education.
As a way of responding fo these demands, a drilling rig purchased at One Hundred Sixty-five ($165,000)
United States Dolias according to Senator Nuquay, will address the shortage of safe drinking water sources and expected to target communities across the five electoral districts of Margibi beginning
with the Dartu-Ta settlement.
Already, Senator Nuguay has received commitments for forty (40) pieces of hand pumps from friends of goodwill, who have followed the development, stressing that it was their way of buttressing the Senator's effort.
Senator Nuquay elected in the December 2020 Special Senatorial Election has accomplished a
number of milestones projects in just the first year of his incumbency.
