In the United States, Vice President JD Vance Says ‘Judges Aren’t Allowed to Control’ Trump’s Legitimate Power

“If you tell the President of the United States he can’t deport illegal criminals, you’re simply saying he can’t be President. We reject that ruling.”

JD Vance dismisses anti-Trump ruling: A judge ‘doesn’t decide’ president has no right to deport immigrants under Alien Enemies Act.

A judge doesn’t have the authority to tell President Donald Trump that he cannot deport immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act, Vice President JD Vance declared during a Fox News interview Thursday.

His declaration followed the ruling earlier Thursday by Trump-appointed Texas District Judge Fernando Rodriguez that it was “unlawful” for the administration to use the 18th Century war-time law to detain and deport alleged Tren de Aragua members.

Vance claims Judicial Overreach affecting the balance of power that will not be allowed.

NPP, LPDP, and PUP Condemn Threats of Chaos

“Our Attention is particularly drawn to utterances by some opposition political parties that tend to threaten our peace.

We must remind these parties that Liberians are wary of conflict. To those of you championing instability against the Republic, be reminded that you are not living in Liberia alone. We are here too. We will defeat you and the motherland will remain”, LPDP Chairman Kollie said.

The joint statement is in an apparent response to former Vice President Jewel Taylor’s threats of chaos that was supported with cheers by leaders of CDC, ANC, MOVEE, and CMC attending the meeting.

NPP is the party of former Vice President Taylor that is now a breakaway member of the CDC along with LPDP.

More than 20 opposition parties along with the ruling party condemned the threats in separate press conferences.

In attendance at today’s press conference was Moses Kollie, Weah’s former head of Liberia Civil Aviation Authority and a onetime ally of the former President. He spoke on behalf of the LPDP.
