Liberty Party holds Special Leadership Retreat. Political Leader and Senate Pro-Tempore, Sen. Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence, has already arrived at the Party’s Congo Town headquarters, along with several top leaders and executive members.

The retreat, is being held under the theme “Reconciliation, Reform, Recovery and Rebuilding – From Vision to Action!”, is expected to bring together a broad cross-section of party stakeholders for a day of reflection, renewal, and strategic planning.

During the one-day session, participants will review progress reports, induct newly restructured district leadership, set procedures for developing a three-year strategic plan, and explore innovative approaches for financial sustainability and strengthening the Party’s national presence.

Former CDC government official and founding member Dr. Lester Tenny pledges to provide transportation and T-shirts for Unity Party supporters from RIA who will be attending the December 6 UP homecoming program.

“All members of the Unity Party intending to join the December 6 event living around Duazon to Boys Town area can contact me anytime next week for arrangement relating to transportation and T-shirts.”

He has since described former President Weah and his officials, calling them “crooks and state looters.”

Government Confirms US$364 Million Road Concession with PAVIFORT AL ASSOCIATES, INC.

The Government of Liberia has confirmed that it has submitted to the Legislature a proposed US$364 million road concession agreement between the Republic of Liberia and PAVIFORT AL ASSOCIATES, INC. for legislative approval.

Making the disclosure during the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing, Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah said the agreement, which was forwarded by the Executive Branch in July 2025, seeks to undertake the asphalt pavement of 255 kilometers of major road corridors across the country under a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) arrangement over a five-year period.

According to Minister Piah, the proposed project covers the following key corridors:
St. Paul Bridge to Klay, Bomi County
Klay to Bo Waterside
Klay to Tubmanburg
Madina to Robertsport
Voinjama to Mendikorma

He explained that the initiative reflects the Boakai administration’s commitment to improving Liberia’s road infrastructure, boosting trade, and enhancing connectivity between counties.
