You, Lord, came to your own but your own did not receive you (John 1:11-12), but as many as did receive You become "the sons of God." We are your children by grace, born of God (John 1:13), and have seen the truth of who You really are. Help us to tell others that You are the Savior and to live in a way that our words may not seem empty. Amen.

When we strive to know God more, we will reap the benefits. When you read the Bible and worship, you are storing up seeds. This will not go unnoticed. You will see the fruits of your righteousness. As God makes sure the sower has seed, He will give us what we need to grow in our faith and share our faith with others.

Part of being a Christian is humbling ourselves and realizing that without God, our lives truly mean nothing. We are to acknowledge that we have made a conscious choice to turn away from the bad deeds and sinful habits, and we have turned to the holy life God has presented before us.
