FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LNP Issues Protest Map, Warns Public Against Morlu’s Lies

(Monrovia, Liberia – July 16, 2025) The Liberia National Police (LNP) unequivocally denounces the misleading and unfounded statements made by Mulbah Morlu during his live broadcast earlier today, July 16, 2025. In the broadcast, Morlue called on motorcyclists to join the planned protest with their bikes, falsely claiming that the LNP had agreed to permit motorcycles during the event and that police checkpoints would be suspended.

The LNP wishes to make it emphatically clear that no such meeting took place and no such commitment was ever made. Morlue's statement is a deliberate distortion of facts intended to sow confusion and disorder. He is widely known as a pathological liar, and his latest claims should be treated with absolute skepticism by all members of the public.

Motorcyclists and citizens are therefore advised to disregard Mr. Morlu's broadcast in its entirety, as it poses a serious risk to public safety and may lead individuals to violate existing laws and security protocols. His misinformation is dangerous and undermines efforts to safeguard public peace.

Meanwhile, and in keeping with its duty to maintain public safety and order, the LNP has officially released the designated protest route along with clearly defined access restrictions. These directives will be strictly enforced throughout the duration of the protest.
Restricted Areas – No Entry Permitted:
• Road from the Executive Mansion to the Capitol Building
• Road leading toward Buzzy Quarter
These zones will be actively monitored. Anyone found within these restricted areas, especially motorcyclists, will face legal consequences, including impoundment of motorcycles under existing laws.
Approved Protest Route – Open for Assembly:
• Starting Point: City Hall
• Route: Main Tubman Boulevard
• Passing: University of Liberia (UL)
• Ending At: Road leading to LNP Headquarters

Police personnel will be strategically deployed along this corridor to observe, secure, and facilitate peaceful protest conduct. No motorcycles will be permitted along the protest route or in restricted zones. Violators will be held accountable in accordance with the law.

The Liberia National Police remains fully prepared to safeguard all citizens, uphold national law, and preserve public order. We thank the public for its cooperation and continued commitment to peace.

Signed,
DCP Cecelia G. Clarke

Liberia 🇱🇷
AB KROMAH AND THE FADIGA BROTHERS SMOKE PEACE PIPE

In a moment charged with emotion and symbolism, former Director General of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), A.B. Kromah, and the once-feuding Fadiga Brothers have finally laid down their arms—not of war, but of bitter words and courtroom battles.

After years of public acrimony and legal blows, the long-standing dispute has come to an end. On one side, the Fadiga Brothers, represented by Al-Hussein Fadiga. On the other, the powerful and controversial former LDEA chief. The meeting of minds came after behind-the-scenes mediation spearheaded by close allies and influential leaders within the ruling Unity Party.

In a case that gripped the nation, the Fadiga Brothers were found guilty in May 2025 of defaming Kromah’s character and were ordered to pay more than $1.5 million in damages. But the war of reputations and recriminations has now given way to an unexpected truce.

The scene was set Wednesday at a quiet but emotionally charged reconciliation gathering. Words once hurled in anger were replaced by handshakes, apologies, and promises. In a rare show of humility and wisdom, both parties agreed to withdraw all court cases and settle their grievances through the traditional palava hut—a Liberian symbol of community dialogue and healing.

“It was best for us to come together,” said Al-Hussein Fadiga in an exclusive appearance on Class Reloaded. His words, though simple, echoed with the weight of peace finally restored.

In a country where public feuds often end in deeper division, today’s news stands as a powerful testament: even the fiercest of adversaries can find common ground.

LTA DENIES INTERNET DISRUPTION CLAIMS, ASSURES PUBLIC OF UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE

The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has dismissed widespread reports suggesting a planned internet outage, clarifying that no scheduled repair work is being undertaken on the Africa Coast to Europe (ACE) submarine cable.

In a statement released Wednesday, the LTA reaffirmed that the ACE cable remains fully operational and that GSM networks across the country are functioning without any interruption.

The clarification comes in response to a press statement circulating on social media and some news platforms, falsely attributed to telecommunications authorities. The document claimed a nationwide internet disruption would begin on Wednesday, July 17 — the same day a major anti-government protest is expected to take place.

“The Liberia Telecommunications Authority has no plan to disrupt internet services,” the regulatory body emphasized. “We urge the public to disregard the misinformation and continue to enjoy uninterrupted access to the internet.”

The LTA further encouraged citizens to remain calm and avoid panic over false reports, assuring that all telecommunications infrastructure remains intact and fully operational.

President Boakai Signs Book of Condolence for Late Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari

July 16, 2025

Executive Mansion, Monrovia:– President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., today visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria near Monrovia to sign the Book of Condolence in honor of the late former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari.

President Boakai expressed heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria on the passing of the former leader, describing him as a steadfast statesman and committed servant of the Nigerian people whose leadership left an indelible mark on West Africa and the African continent.

In his message, President Boakai said, “The Government and People of Liberia stand in solemn solidarity with the Federal Republic of Nigeria as you mourn the loss of a towering figure in African politics and governance. President Buhari’s legacy of service and devotion to national and continental peace will not be forgotten. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

President Boakai was received by Madam Rahmat O. Mohammed, Charge d'Affaires, and other members of the Nigerian diplomatic mission.

The President extended sympathy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the bereaved family, and the people of Nigeria, noting the longstanding bond of brotherhood between Liberia and Nigeria.

President Boakai’s visit highlights Liberia’s deep respect for Nigeria’s contributions to regional peace, democracy, and development, particularly during Liberia’s most difficult times.
