Do you think Representative Yehkeh Kolubah is right for organizing a karate training program to train youths from the opposition parties for self defense?

The Montserrado district 10 representative says he is doing this in order for youths from the opposition to protect their leaders and themselves noting that the Weah led government is incapable to provide security.

Critics of the district 10 lawmaker continue to blast at this move stating - protection of lives and property is the responsibility of state security.

"OVERSIGHT! The ELWA-RIA Road Project!

EAST INTERNATIONAL, the company contracted by the CDC/Weah-led regime to reconstruct and expand the ELWA to RIA Highway lacks the credentials, capacity and ability to handle such contract in the volume of over $100 Million USD.

No road construction company with the capacity and technical expertise would do so poorly as is being done by East International on the ELWA-RIA Highway. No company knowing the weather condition in Liberia, especially the rainy season would do such a horrible job as East International has done. How this company got qualified is yet a wonder!!!

We saw this coming when in early 2020, few of us in the Senate rejected (on the record) this company from being contracted to handle this project, but as usual, we were bashed and branded "enemies of the state" who "just hate the boy".

Today, the reality is splashing! The long corridor of road from ELWA to RIA has become a death trap and causing grave loss of business to business owners. Some stores may even shut down, if not already shut down. Vehicular accidents are increasing by the day with fatalities at some point and damage to properties. Sad!!

This matter is of grave concern; many residents and business owners have sought our intervention. We have heard them, and as your Senator, we will act. We are concluding a communication to Plenary this week. The Ministry of Public Works, the Public Procurement Concessions Commission (PPCC), the National Road Fund and all relevant agencies of Government responsible for and connected to this contract must answer to this."

"In keeping with our commitment to probe into the ELWA-RIA Road Project involving East International ... we have formally sought intervention of the Senate for redress."
