H.E. PRESIDENT Joseph N. BOAKAI ASSURES LNP OF HIS GOVERNMENT’S SUPPORT.
President Joseph N Boakai has affirmed his government's unwavering support for the Liberia National Police in enhancing their ability to provide services to the people of Liberia and foreigners residing in the country.
President Boakai emphasized the importance of the police as the first line of defense for the country and expressed his commitment to addressing the challenges facing police operations.
The Liberian leader reiterated his government's dedication to upholding the rule of law as a fundamental principle of the government’s ARREST agenda.
The President delivered these remarks during an event organized by the Liberia National Police, where he commended the Inspector General for his efforts in rebranding the police force and assured Liberia's partners of continued support.
The event included a leadership training session for senior police officers, facilitated by a former Chief of Police from the United States of America.
In a brief remark, the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police Gregory Coleman reemphasized his leadership commitment to enforcing the rule of law in Liberia, stressing that order will be restored in Liberia.
The Liberian Police Chief said his leadership is building not just a resilient law enforcement service but beyond resiliency, adding that the LNP is committed to restoring order in the country through effective leadership.
Coleman also mentioned that the LNP is not only focused on building a strong law enforcement service but is also striving towards antifragility.
He expressed his intention to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, enabling them to better withstand any challenges.
Additionally, he commended the retired Minneapolis Police Chief, Medaria Arradondo, for choosing to share his leadership experience with the Liberia National Police.
