Liberia's Foreign Minister, Her Excellency Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, is discussing this matter with the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia and has requested to meet with the new U.S. Secretary of State to explore alternatives to deportation.
The Government of Liberia values its partnership with the U.S. and is working closely to find a mutually beneficial solution.
The administration of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. is dedicated to ensuring the welfare and safety of all Liberian citizens abroad and will continue to strive for a resolution that protects their interests"
