Today at Creative World Digital Art Space (Camp Johnson Road), we kicked off our 1-month Editing Class, held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3–5 PM. The session focused on the basics of storytelling and introduced students to creating storyboards and shot lists—essential tools to stay organized and prepared for the post-production editing process.

We’ll be heading out to Broad Street to conduct real interviews capturing people’s stories and everyday lives.

In today’s class, you’ll learn:

Camera operation techniques
Key production roles (director, interviewer, sound, etc.)
How to approach and engage interview subjects
How to offload and organize your footage properly

Societies of Unity is a Non Profit Organization working towards change in local communities by using technology skills to capture and bring awareness with visual activism. We help Build Youth Devolvement through filmmaking/ photography skills. By providing mentorship and leadership, we help formulate street team ground work projects that tackle and build effective solutions using the power of media.

First project: #100backpacks to 3schools in Liberia serving 100 students. With the help from street team in Liberia Sesay Abdullah Alieu Fanta and Yusuf Kabrayuszonic Sesay Jr. for making this project come to life 🇱🇷🙏🏿 List of Schools: Islamic solidarity school - 50 students Al-Usaimey Heritage Arabic English school -25 students William vs.Tubman grey high school -25 students. Our goal for the end of 2020 is to impact +1,500 students lives with each project and efforts from our technology street team Let’s push for the best for our beloved country LIBERIA and our future innovators for tomorrow.
