Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has urged African nations to leverage their natural wealth to strengthen their economic position globally and end foreign dependence. 🇳🇦

🚨 NIGERIA BOYCOTTS SOUTH AFRICA 🇳🇬🇿🇦

Nigeria’s parliament has officially suspended all legislative visits to South Africa and is boycotting South African-hosted parliamentary activities, citing ongoing safety concerns for Nigerians living in the country.

According to Nigerian officials, 98 Nigerians have reportedly died in mob and hate-related attacks since 2022, and 1,695 citizens have been voluntarily evacuated this year alone due to rising tensions.

The boycott applies specifically to lawmakers and parliamentary engagements, not full government relations, but it’s still a strong diplomatic signal between two of Africa’s biggest economies.

South Africa has previously condemned xenophobia, with Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola engaging Nigerian officials earlier this year to try ease tensions. However, this latest move shows that concerns from Nigeria’s side are far from resolved.

🇯🇵 JAPAN SURPASSES 100,000 PEOPLE AGED 100 OR OLDER

Japan has reached a remarkable demographic milestone.

📊 New figures show that 107,677 people aged 100 or older now live in Japan — the first time the country's centenarian population has crossed the 100,000 mark.

👵 About 88% are women.

Among Japan's oldest residents is Fuyo Kishimoto, 114, from Kyoto, while Hikaru Kato, 112, from Kumamoto, is reported as the country's oldest living man.

Health Minister Kenichiro Ueno welcomed the milestone, pointing to advances in medicine and technology that have helped people live longer and remain active. At the same time, Japan faces growing challenges in maintaining its social-security system as its population continues to age.

Experts often point to factors such as Japan's traditional diet — including fish, vegetables and rice — along with physical activity and lifestyle patterns as possible contributors to longevity.

Breaking!! TWO WOMEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPING AND RA**NG A MALE DRIVER

South African police have arrested five suspects, including two women, after a 25-year-old Man, an e-hailing driver was allegedly kidnapped and r***d in Cape Town.

The South African Police Service said the driver was also held for ransom, with the suspects demanding R4,000 from his brother for his release.

According to police, the victim had met one of the female suspects through his e-hailing business. They exchanged contact details and later arranged to meet.

When the driver arrived, he was allegedly kidnapped by two women and three men. Police were alerted after the suspects contacted his brother.

Officers used the vehicle’s tracking device to locate the driver at Southampton Road in Heathfield, where he was rescued.

The arrested suspects include two women aged 23 and 34, two men aged 42 and 48, and a 16-year-old boy.

They are expected to appear before the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 14, 2026, facing allegations including kidnapping, r**e and extortion.
The suspects remain innocent until proven guilty in court.
