                                            Important Health Tip:
Ceftriaxone and Calcium Should Not Be Taken Together!
Ceftriaxone is a strong antibiotic used to treat different types of infections.
Do NOT
take it at the same time as calcium-containing products.
Why?
Because when ceftriaxone mixes with calcium, it can form a thick substance that looks like kidney stones. This can harm the kidneys and may also affect the lungs.
To stay safe,
leave at least 3 hours between taking ceftriaxone and any calcium product.
Examples of calcium-containing products:
Calcium tablets, capsules, or powders
Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt
Antacids with calcium (like those for heartburn)
Stay informed, stay healthy.
