NCSSC Chairman Responds to Concerns About Female Representation and Diaspora Inclusion

Nimba County – The Chairman of the 2025–2026 Nimba County Sports Steering Committee (NCSSC), Mr. Alphonso Glaydor , has acknowledged recent comments and concerns raised by citizens regarding the inclusion of women on both the District League Committee and the National County Sports Meet Committee, as well as representation of the Nimba Diaspora.

Chairman Glaydor assures the public that female inclusion remains a top priority. He disclosed that consultations are currently ongoing with several qualified women across the county, and their appointments will be announced in the coming days. He reaffirmed his strong belief in gender balance, emphasizing that there is no intention to sideline the talented and capable women of Nimba County from leadership roles within the sports sector.

In addition, the Chairman addressed concerns about Diaspora representation, revealing that plans are underway to hold a Zoom meeting with citizens of Nimba residing abroad. This meeting will serve as a platform for the Diaspora community to nominate individuals to serve on the committee, ensuring their voices and contributions are recognized in this year’s national effort.

Chairman Glaydor further clarified that the appointments released thus far represent only the first phase, and he is actively working behind the scenes to finalize the next batch of appointments aimed at strengthening the county's sports administration.
