🕌 TODAY'S LESSONS 📖

SUPPLICATIONS IN THE FIVE DAILY PRAYERS (Salaah)

1️⃣ OPENING (After Takbir/THE FIRST ALLAHU AKBAR)

ARABIC:
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

TRANSLITERATION:
Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabaarakasmuka, wa ta‘aala jadduka, wa laa ilaaha ghayruka

ENGLISH: Glory be to You, O Allah, praise be to You, blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and none has the right to be worshiped except You.

2️⃣ IN RUKUʿ (Bowing)

ARABIC:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ (3x)

TRANSLITERATION:
Subhaana Rabbiyal-‘Adheem (3x)

ENGLISH: Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent.

3️⃣ IN SUJOOD (Prostration)

ARABIC:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى (3x)

TRANSLITERATION:
Subhaana Rabbiyal-A‘laa (3x)

ENGLISH: Glory be to my Lord, the Most High.

4️⃣ BETWEEN SUJOOD

ARABIC:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي

TRANSLITERATION:
Rabbighfir li, warhamni, wahdini, wa ‘aafini, warzuqni

ENGLISH: My Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, give me health, and provide for me.

5️⃣ TASHAHHUD (Final Sitting)

ARABIC:
التَّحِيَّاتُ للهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

TRANSLITERATION:
At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibatu, as-salamu ‘alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, as-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘ala ‘ibadillahi-s-saliheen. Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluh.

ENGLISH: All greetings, prayers, and goodness are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

6️⃣ SALAT IBRAHIMIYYA (Sending blessings on Prophet ﷺ)

ARABIC:
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

TRANSLITERATION:
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad, k**a sallayta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima, innaka hameedun majeed.
Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad, k**a barakta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala aali Ibrahima, innaka hameedun majeed.

ENGLISH: O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent mercy upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Glorious.

7️⃣ PROTECTION DU‘A (Before Ending)

ARABIC:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

TRANSLITERATION:
Allahumma inni a‘oodhu bika min ‘adhaabi jahannam, wa min ‘adhaabil qabr, wa min fitnatil mahyaa wal mamaat, wa min sharri fitnatil maseehid-dajjaal

ENGLISH: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, the trials of life and death, and the evil of the false Messiah.

8️⃣ ENDING (Tasleem)

ARABIC:
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

TRANSLITERATION:
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah

ENGLISH: Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Both LEFT AND RIGHT.

MAY ALLAH CONTINUES TO GUIDE US HIS STRAIGHT PATH. Ameen Ya Rabbi 🙏 ❤️

THE FINAL SERMON OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL

“O People! Listen carefully to my words, for I do not know whether I will meet you again in this place after this year.

O People! Just as you regard this month, this day, and this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Do not hurt anyone so that none may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and He will surely reckon your deeds.

You have your rights over your wives, and they have their rights over you. Treat them kindly, for they are your partners and helpers. Fear Allah regarding women.

O People! It is true that you have certain rights with regard to your property, but equally others have rights over it. Allah has ordained that no one’s wealth may be taken except with their free will.

O People! Every Muslim is the brother of another Muslim, and all Muslims form one brotherhood. Nothing shall be permissible to a Muslim that belongs to another unless freely given. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, you will one day appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware: do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People! No prophet or messenger will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things: the Qur’an and my Sunnah (example), and if you follow them, you will never go astray.

O People! Worship your Lord, pray your five daily prayers, fast during Ramadan, give zakat, and perform Hajj if you are able.

O People! All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white person has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action.

Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims form one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim that belongs to another unless given freely and willingly.

O People! Convey my message to those who could not be present here today.”

Then he ﷺ raised his hands to the sky and said:

O Allah! Bear witness, O Allah! Bear witness, O Allah! Bear witness.”

Today's Lesson.

🕌 When Entering the Mosque

اللّهُـمَّ افْتَـحْ لي أَبْوابَ رَحْمَتـِكَ
Allāhumma iftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik
Meaning: “O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.”

🕌 When Leaving the Mosque

اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Allāhumma innī as’aluka min faḍlik
Meaning: “O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.”

📢 After the Adhan (Call to Prayer)

After the mu’adhdhin (caller) finishes, say what he says, except for Ḥayya ʿalaṣ-ṣalāh and Ḥayya ʿalal-falāḥ — instead, you say:

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّه
Lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā billāh
Meaning: “There is no power and no strength except with Allah.”

Then, at the end, recite this supplication:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Allāhumma rabba hādhihi-d-daʿwatit-tāmmah, waṣ-ṣalāti-l-qā’imah, ātī Muḥammadan al-wasīlata wal-faḍīlah, wabʿath-hu maqāman maḥmūdan alladhī waʿadtah.

Meaning:
“O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad (ﷺ) the intercession and favor, and raise him to the honored station You have promised him.”

This is what I always tell any young person I crossed path with: "the sooner we understand that your end in this world is the next second the better for you". Stop fooling yourself.

Always have it in my mind that you're the next. People say: "don't wish da bad luck for me". "My time na reach yeh". "I'm living for 100 years". This is all fun.

There's one thing that nobody has debated before and it's death. Everybody knows that he/she will die one day. Even the existence of God is debated. But the reality of death has never been debated.

Everyone living on this earth has been wounded by death—if it's not your parents, it's your grandparents. If it's not your siblings, it's your nibling. If it's not your uncle it's your aunt. If it's not your friends it's your colleagues....and the list continue.

In sinoe, just this month and the last, we have witnessed the death of vibrants young people. Till now, I'm still hurt from the death of Hassan Rejoice Jr. Till now, I am still finding it difficult to believe that J Sie Dweh Freeman is dead. 😭😥😥😥😢

Life is temporary. Stop deceiving yourself. God is real. Judgement day is real. Do you think we're just gonna die and go like that without accounting for what we did here? No! Paradise is real. Hell is real.

"Babies died. YOU ARE NOT YOUNG TO DIE."

A message from today's Sermon by Imam Musa Keita to our Mothers, Sisters and Wives:

"In Ramadan, women play a vital role. They are the ones responsible for preparing Suhur (food eaten in the morning), the breakfast, the cleaning and other things. Women are very important in Ramadan. It's because of the month of Ramadan, those women that travel rush back home to take care of their families. It's in the month of Ramadan, people who are not married (not all) get married!

Now, here is the thing. Since the women are responsible for the cooking, cleaning and other things, they are given an offer. All they need to do is have the intention of doing it for the sake of Allah. Right there, it's considered an act of worship and they will be rewarded! Wow!

The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said: "every action is rewarded by the intention"

Please, for every work you're doing in this Ramadan, have the intention that you're doing it for the sake of Allah!
