Former Liberia Amputee Football and Sports Association President Cooper George wrote:

Monrovia, Liberia - Cooper George, former President of the Liberia Amputee Football and Sports Association, has called on the government to allocate more funds to support the country's Amputee National Team. In a Facebook post a few hours ago, George highlighted the team's achievements.

The team has won the Amputee African Nations Cup three times, finished as runners-up once, and secured third place on another occasion. They have also qualified Liberia for the World Cup three times. George noted notable victories over France (4-1), Ireland (6-2), and Spain (2-1), describing them as a "great national team."

George believes these accomplishments warrant increased financial support from the government to further empower the team and enable them to continue representing Liberia with distinction on the international stage.
