Grand Gedeh County Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue Reaffirms His Commitment To Contest 2029
Grand Gedeh County Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue has vowed to recontest the impending general and presidential elections.
Senator Pennue, who is now considered as a dogen in Grand Gedeh County political arena after being elected three times in the House of Representatives, and becoming an elected Senator of the County.
Currently, Senator Pennue served as the Liberian Senate Statutory on State Enterprise and Autonomous Agencies.
He told the source of Grand Gedean under the banner (say yes to Senator Zoe re-election bid 2029.
At the same time, the group who was established in defence of Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue Chairman Aaron Youlo told members of the Group , that his institution remains unbending and committed to ensuring that the grand gedeh lawmaker wins the senatorial election.
At the same time, Citizens of Grand Gedeh County have expressed overwhelming support for their longtime lawmaker, Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue, signaling a strong “yes” to his leadership in the Legislature for 32 years as the nation looks ahead to the 2029 General and Presidential Elections.
In response, Senator Pennue extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the people of Grand Gedeh for recognizing his hard work, dedication, and contributions to the county’s development.
Speaking to reporters, the Senator highlighted his recent visit to the United States of America, which he described as very fulfilling. According to him, the visit opened doors for educational and youth opportunities, with students and young people from Grand Gedeh, currently based in Monrovia, expected to hold an exchange discussion with the Mayor of Philadelphia on August 23, 2025.
Addressing critics of his re-election bid, Senator Pennue did not shy away from responding directly. He accused some of his opponents of lacking credibility and questioned their past performances in leadership roles. While defending his track record, the Senator urged Grand Gedeans to focus on uniting around development rather than personal attacks, stressing that the election is still four years away.
Let us keep our eyes on developing the county. The election is 2029 four years and some months ahead. For now, the focus must remain on progress, Pennue said.
The Senator further disclosed that his office has initiated a series of development projects across Grand Gedeh. He pointed out that over 2,000 streetlights have already been installed and revealed that groundbreaking for a new street electrification project in Konobo and other cities in the county is set for next week.
As one of Liberia’s longest-serving lawmakers, Senator Pennue continues to be a dominant political figure in Grand Gedeh County. With his recent declaration and citizens endorsement, political observers say the 2029 race in the county is already taking shape.
