Joy is in the air for Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, who is celebrating the arrival of her first grandchild. Her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and Tanzanian music sensation Juma Jux welcomed their baby boy, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada.

Iyabo Ojo proudly shared the news on social media, posting touching hospital photos of Priscilla holding her newborn. In her heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude and excitement for stepping into her new role as a grandmother.

The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year with glamorous ceremonies across Nigeria and Tanzania, had already captured hearts with their joyful gender reveal in July. You might see me today and think it’s always been smooth, but let me shock you. Back in 2019, I was hustling inside UNILAG — selling doughnuts and even bedbug spray to survive. At the same time, I worked in a laundry shop where I earned just ₦13k a month. By 2021, my salary only went up to ₦30k.

Fast forward to now, God has changed my story. 🙏 From struggling to survive, I’m now one of Nigeria’s top comedians, advertising for a major detergent brand and even bagging an ambassadorial deal with a Chinese car company worth millions.

Rwanda recently welcomed Smokie Norful, the Grammy-winning gospel icon behind global hits like “I Need You Now” and “No Greater Love.” Arriving in Kigali last week, Smokie was hosted at a warm reception on August 19, 2025, at the Kigali Serena Hotel, where fans and local gospel artists celebrated his first-ever visit to the country.

Though his trip was focused on evangelism and development programs, Smokie admitted he was deeply touched by the love and hospitality shown by Rwandans. Local gospel stars such as Rene Patrick, Tracy Agasaro, Eddie Mico, Kenneth, and The Pink praised him as a source of inspiration, with many crediting his music for shaping their own careers in ministry.

Smokie, who also pastors at Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Chicago, has built a legacy that spans over two decades, earning multiple Grammys, Dove Awards, and Stellar Awards. His timeless songs like “Dear God” and “I Understand” continue to inspire millions across the globe.

During his visit, he revealed plans to return for a full gospel concert in Rwanda, promising an unforgettable worship experience.
