The rogue regime is furious and desperate. Their RESCUE mission has become a RECKLESS one. They have now reverted to employing the same tactics they used in opposition —surviving on lies. In an attempt to find accomplishments to cling to for these six (6) months, they have recruited mercenaries to spread lies and keep our people away from the truth. With just a few crumbs, these hired guns are forced to trumpet false,misleading, and malicious information.
They parrot lies daily to deceive and mislead Liberians. Their propaganda is akin to that of the Nazists, who used deception as a tactic to manipulate ethnic Germans during the second world war. In fact, Lying was a key instrument in Hitler's popularity-building strategy as was confirmed in a statement made by Joseph Goebbels, his chief propagandist: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."
As the Nazists did in Germany, the Unity Party government of Mr. Boakai is doing the same. They are recruiting, financing, and weaponizing young boys and girls just to spew lies, hate, and disunity.
If they're not lying about owning Bea Mountain Yellow machines today, they're lying tomorrow about having "300 buses" for the NTA. The next day, they'll be lying that taxes/vehicles are taking two hours to get to Maryland County; that all the roads in the southeast are fixed, and that no car is stuck in mud. Maybe next week, we'll hear about yellow ships and planes coming for Liberia.
The amusing thing about Rescue people is that they constantly invent new lies to cover up for the previous ones. It's nothing but lies upon lies.
Yesterday was just another exhibition of their misinformation campaign at the MICAT Press Briefing. This time around, it came from Sekou Dukuly, the NPA's worst managing director ever. A man who continues to harm our port through illicit trade and activities. After realizing that Liberians were picking up on their lie about machines being present in the country, Sekou Dukuly and his paid stooges came out with incredulous garbage to distract us. They hatched the nonsense that the NPA under George Weah only contributed $4 million in six years to the national budget. Moreover, they claimed that their $2 million contribution to the national budget in six months was the highest ever. These are lies that must be relished!
This is the fact: The NPA, during the CDC government, provided 3.5 million to the national budget in ten months in 2018. Against a projected revenue of $7.463 million, the NPA generated $5.991 million in revenue during the second quarter of 2022, between April and June. During that same quarter, the NPA contributed $5.30 million to the national budget. Under the CDC administration, the NPA raised $5.991 million in three months, compared to $4 million raised by your government in six months. Meanwhile, you people should be shamed to even parade with this misinformation and disjointed propaganda, deceiving your people that you have done more than your predecessors. If NPA even contributed $2 million to the national budget in six (6) months, then it has failed miserably. The projected contribution from NPA to this fiscal year's budget is USD 7 million. By the end of June, the government should have received $3.5 million. You only contributed USD 2 million, leaving a USD 1.5 million shortfall. Instead of explaining reasons NPA couldn't meet its target, you now jump to the media to spread gibberish.
The UP people should understand that this Nazi-style propaganda will not save their already collapsing regime. The catastrophic effects of their lies will hasten the demise of the criminal enterprise called government.
