“Stolen Wealth,” Leading CSO Actor Jarius Andrew Greaves Slams Rep. Bility and Sen. Snowe

A leading civil society actor and founder of YONER-Liberia who now pursues a Master of Science degree at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, Mr. Jarius Andrew Greaves, has slammed Nimba County Representative Musa Bility and Bomi County Senator Edwin Snowe over the alleged accumulation of stolen wealth.

Greaves writes ✍️

“I have often told young people that individuals like Bility and Snowe are among those who have kept Liberia stagnant, even 20 years after the civil war. Sadly, many young people who rally behind them do not truly love this country either; they are simply waiting for their share of the stolen wealth.

That said, I know Bility isn’t going far, perhaps it is God’s own way of ensuring that some of the wealth he took from the people is returned. Let him continue with his political maneuvers; in the end, Liberians will hold him accountable, just as they had done with others before him, including Varney Sherman, etc.”

This is a developing story.

Youth Leader Commends LDEA OIC and Team

The President of the young people of the 72nd Community in Paynesville, Ambassador Jamuel Kullie, has praised the Officer-in-Charge of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Biago, and his team for their efforts in dismantling what had long been considered the most notorious and largest safe haven for drug users along 72nd Boulevard.

Over the weekend, the LDEA carried out a special operation targeting mangrove swamps and other hideouts where illicit drugs were being sold. The operation successfully destroyed a hub that had operated for nearly a decade. Previous LDEA leadership had avoided the area despite the grave threat it posed to community safety, as it was home to some of the country’s most notorious and dangerous drug users.

Speaking to the media, Amb. Kullie commended the OIC and his team for their bold actions not only in Paynesville but also across the country. He pledged the youth’s support in ensuring that such havens are not reestablished and vowed to help expose and report those engaged in drug trafficking or dealing.

Meanwhile, Amb. Kullie urged the Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Say No to Drugs campaign, and other partners, to take stronger measures in supporting young people battling addiction. He emphasized the need for skills training and rehabilitation programs to empower youth, steer them away from substance abuse, and help them build productive lives.

He also encouraged community members to play their part by reporting drug-related activities to the LDEA hotline at 0777-133-333, stressing that the destructive act of selling illicit drugs to young people must come to an end.

Mr. Gianni Infantino
PRESIDENT
Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA)
FIFA HQ
Hitzigweg 11, 8032
Zürich, Switzerland

September 5, 2025

Dear Gianni,

Kindly accept my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the honour of appointing me to lead this all-important FIFA Players' Voices Panel on Racism.

I want to assure you that, alongside the esteemed professionals appointed with me, we will work assiduously through the panel to find effective solutions to eliminate the ugly scourge of racism from the beautiful game, both on and off the pitch.

On behalf of the panel members, I also wish to assure you that as individuals who have personally experienced racism during our own careers, we understand how profoundly damaging it is — not just to the sport, but to players, fans, supporters, and humanity at large.

I have always been committed to serving FIFA in various roles, including as a member of the FIFA Football Committee, and I will continue to do so now with unwavering dedication.

We are eager to begin this critical work.

To my fellow distinguished panellists, it is a proud moment working with all of you as together, we strive to kick racism out of the beautiful game, for the good of the game, and for humanity.

Respectfully yours,

George Manneh Weah, Sr.
