“Five months ago I have a media engagement at my office and I accused the speaker for protecting LPRC boss and made a statement that we politically burn down the capitol and also demanded that we should do the Liberian people job peacefully with the breaking the rules of the land. Why now the police is using it come after me than to invest in CCTV Cameras that is powered by solar and internet I am just confused, i have to find place that is safer because my life isn’t safe in the hands of the Liberia National Police and in subsequent time I will make myself available.

U.S. Embassy Monrovia, Liberia Acknowledges Monitoring Current Situation on Capitol Hill.

"The United States Embassy is monitoring the current situation on Capitol Hill. The United States wants to see Liberia’s political processes play out peacefully and with respect for the rule of law. Liberians expect their leaders to uphold democracy and its practices, to include one that allows for open and transparent political processes and peaceful debate.

We urge all parties to maintain peace. It is important that leaders show unity. Violence is never the answer, and it serves no one’s interest. We strongly urge both sides to reach compromise, so the important work of the legislature can continue for the Liberian people.

Maintaining a democracy is never easy and there will certainly be tough times, but the key is learning from the missteps and remaining steadfast in knowing there is no place nor benefit to resorting to violence. We remain confident that whatever differences political parties and individual politicians may have, they can come together to address them through direct and peaceful engagement for the good of the nation.", U. S Embassy Monrovia, Liberia.
