ABOUT OUR CEO – DECONTEE SOCRO (Alias: Blessing Patrick)
Decontee Socro, widely known as Blessing Patrick, is a registered midwife and a devoted civil servant assigned with the Ministry of Health. Her life story is not one of comfort, but of deep struggle, silent tears, and unshakable faith—experiences that shaped her into a woman of compassion and purpose.
Growing up, Decontee endured severe hardship during her childhood and youth. Life denied her many basic necessities, and survival often came before dreams. There were moments of hunger, emotional pain, and uncertainty that forced her to mature too early. As a young girl, she learned resilience the hard way—through sacrifice, rejection, and loss. Many times, hope seemed fragile, yet she held firmly to God, believing that her suffering would one day have meaning.
Her passion for helping others was born from witnessing pain similar to her own. During her youth, she saw women struggle through pregnancy without support and children deprived of basic care. These realities touched her deeply and inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare—not merely as a profession, but as a mission to save lives and restore dignity. Today, as a registered midwife serving under the Ministry of Health, she continues to serve humanity with humility and love.
Despite earning a modest income as a civil servant, Decontee believes strongly that whatever God places in her hands—no matter how small—must bless others. She gives from her heart, remembering the days when she wished someone would extend a helping hand to her.
This personal journey of pain, faith, and perseverance gave birth to De-Socro Foundation—a humanitarian organization rooted in compassion, empathy, and service to the less privileged.
