🎄DE-SOCRO FOUNDATION CHRISTMAS OUTREACH – CHEDEPO PUTUKEN 🎁

Today, in the spirit of Christmas celebration, De-Socro Foundation extended love and kindness to the people of Chedepo Putuken through a humanitarian donation exercise.

The distribution was carried out by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Orisa M. Tweh, as part of our commitment to reaching the less fortunate and putting smiles on their faces during this special season. Children from one day old to six years old benefited from the donation of children’s clothes.

It truly gladdens our hearts to witness the joy and excitement on the faces of the beneficiaries as they received their packages. Their happiness motivates us even more to continue doing more for our communities.

✨ Together, we make a difference.

ABOUT OUR CEO – DECONTEE SOCRO (Alias: Blessing Patrick)

Decontee Socro, widely known as Blessing Patrick, is a registered midwife and a devoted civil servant assigned with the Ministry of Health. Her life story is not one of comfort, but of deep struggle, silent tears, and unshakable faith—experiences that shaped her into a woman of compassion and purpose.

Growing up, Decontee endured severe hardship during her childhood and youth. Life denied her many basic necessities, and survival often came before dreams. There were moments of hunger, emotional pain, and uncertainty that forced her to mature too early. As a young girl, she learned resilience the hard way—through sacrifice, rejection, and loss. Many times, hope seemed fragile, yet she held firmly to God, believing that her suffering would one day have meaning.

Her passion for helping others was born from witnessing pain similar to her own. During her youth, she saw women struggle through pregnancy without support and children deprived of basic care. These realities touched her deeply and inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare—not merely as a profession, but as a mission to save lives and restore dignity. Today, as a registered midwife serving under the Ministry of Health, she continues to serve humanity with humility and love.

Despite earning a modest income as a civil servant, Decontee believes strongly that whatever God places in her hands—no matter how small—must bless others. She gives from her heart, remembering the days when she wished someone would extend a helping hand to her.

This personal journey of pain, faith, and perseverance gave birth to De-Socro Foundation—a humanitarian organization rooted in compassion, empathy, and service to the less privileged.

KEY ACTIVITIES OF DE-SOCRO FOUNDATION

Driven by its mission to uplift vulnerable populations, De-Socro Foundation has carried out several impactful humanitarian activities, including:

July 26, 2025 Celebration – Montserrado County (Johnsonville):
The Foundation donated assorted food items such as rice, cooking oil, Vita, and other essentials to less privileged families, helping them celebrate Liberia’s Independence with dignity and hope.

Education Support – Academic Year 2025/2026:
During the opening of the 2025/2026 academic year, De-Socro Foundation donated school materials including books, pens, copybooks, backpacks, and other learning supplies to school-going children, easing the burden on struggling parents and encouraging education.

Maternal and Child Support – River Gee County (Ongoing):
The Foundation is currently conducting donations in River Gee County, where babies are receiving clothes and pregnant women are receiving pampers, providing critical support during pregnancy and early childhood.

Through these activities, De-Socro Foundation continues to turn compassion into action—reaching families who feel forgotten and reminding them that they are not alone.

Decontee Socro’s life is a testimony that hardship can birth purpose and that true leadership flows from empathy. Her journey continues to inspire many, proving that when God lifts you from nothing, your greatest calling is to lift others.

De-Socro Foundation: Giving hope, restoring dignity, and touching lives—one act of kindness at a time.

Yesterday, something beautiful happened.

As soon as these children received their packages, they couldn’t hold back their excitement. They immediately changed into their new clothes right before our eyes. Their smiles, their laughter — it reminded us that even small acts can create big joy.

We are truly happy to see them happy. But one question remains in our hearts: Can we also give them hope through education? Can we get them on scholarship, folks?

These children deserve more than clothes — they deserve a future, a classroom, and a chance to dream.
If you’re willing to support a child’s education or partner with us to send these kids to school, please inbox our page or reach out.

Together, we can turn today’s joy into tomorrow’s success.

Today, we are grateful to share a moment of joy from Sarbo Sweaken, River Gee County.

The children we met earlier — who came barefoot to receive support — are now wearing slippers and smiling brightly. Each child was given a pair of slippers, and the happiness on their faces reminded us why we do this work.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to change a child’s day —Just love.Just care.Just action.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us as we spread hope, dignity, and compassion to families in need.

Together, we are changing lives, one smile at a time. ❤️

This morning, we returned to Sarbo Sweaken for our distribution exercise, and once again our hearts were touched.

We met these young children at the distribution site, where they came with their mother to receive their package — but sadly, they had no slippers on their feet. Seeing children arrive barefoot for help is a painful reminder of how difficult life is for many families in our communities.

No child should walk barefoot because of poverty. No mother should struggle alone to provide even the simplest needs.

Moments like these renew our commitment to continue serving the most vulnerable. At De-Socro Foundation, we believe that help should go beyond words — it should touch lives in real ways.

Our question today is simple:
Can we help put a pair of slippers on the feet of these little ones?
Can we show them that they are seen, valued, and loved?

Together, we can make a difference, one child at a time.

During our field assessment, our team met a family that deeply touched our hearts.

In a small, struggling home, we found a father and mother doing their best to survive while caring for their six children — yet none of these children are in school. Not because they don’t want to learn… but because poverty has closed the door to education for them.

Their days are filled with hunger.
Their nights are filled with worry.
And their future feels uncertain.

These children deserve more than survival.
They deserve a classroom.
They deserve books.
They deserve dreams.

No child should be denied education because of poverty. No family should carry such a heavy burden alone.

At De-Socro Foundation, we believe that, where help reaches, hope is born. This is why we are sharing their story — not to expose them, but to stand with them in dignity and love.

Today, we ask you:
Can you help rewrite this family’s story?
Can you help send a child to school?
Can you help put food on their table?

Together, we can turn hardship into hope.

As we distributed clothes to children to put smiles on their faces, our hearts were broken by what we saw next.

Some children stood before us barefoot — no slippers, no shoes. Others were not in school. For many, even eating a proper meal is a daily struggle.

These are not just children. These are dreams waiting for a chance. These are lives asking to be seen.

It hurts to walk away knowing that a simple pair of slippers could protect a child’s feet, yet they have none. Knowing that comfort, safety, and dignity are still out of reach for too many.

We went to give clothes… but we found pain. We went to bring smiles… but we met tears.

So today, we ask from the depths of our hearts: Can we give these children a pair of slippers?

Just one step closer to dignity. Just one step away from suffering.

Join us. Stand with these children.
Let kindness walk where pain once stood.
