Harris M. Kokeh Elected Chairman of Soriba Hill Community

Upper Caldwell, Montserrado County – September 8, 2025: The Soriba Hill Community has elected Mr. Harris M. Kokeh as its new chairman following a highly contested election held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Samuka Town Public School in Upper Caldwell.

Mr. Kokeh, who led Team Harris, secured victory over Team Robert and will now steer the leadership of the community. A majority of his teammates also clinched key positions, including Co-Chairman, Secretary General, Chairlady, and Treasurer.

However, in one of the most closely watched contests, Mr. Frank Lobboe Jr., a member of Team Harris, conceded defeat to Mr. Willie Kollie, who was elected as Youth Chairman.

Several other candidates won unopposed on white ballots, among them Apt. Lawrence F. Yeakehson as Chaplain and Mr. Kennedy Woloba as Block D Chairperson.

The elections mark a new chapter for the Soriba Hill Community, with residents expressing optimism that the newly elected leadership will foster unity and development in the area.

Soriba Hill Community Election Sees Late Voter Turnout Amid Allegations of Fake Voting Cards

Upper Caldwell, Monrovia – September 7, 2025: The Soriba Hill Community election experienced a slow start this morning, with only a handful of voters turning out early. However, by late afternoon, as the polls neared closing, residents began trooping in to exercise their democratic rights.

During a visit to the polling center, Mr. Roosevelt P. Quiah, chairman of Team Harris, raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the process. He claimed that several voting cards in circulation were “fake,” alleging that the cards were linked to Mr. Willie Kollie, a contestant vying for the position of Youth Chairman.

Mr. Quiah stressed the need for transparency, stating that such issues could undermine the credibility of the election. At the time of this report, efforts were still underway to obtain clarification from the election commission regarding the claims.

Despite the concerns, voting continued, with community members showing increased enthusiasm as the day progressed.
