Introducing Morris S. Jabateh, a teenage creative, poet, and AI enthusiast from Johnsonville, Montserrado County, Liberia.

He began his academic journey at Johnsonville Public School and later attended Yaya Keita High School, where he discovered his love for public speaking and competition. His dedication earned him several honors, including Math Student of the Year, Most Eloquent Male Student of the Year, Most Valuable Quizzer of the Year, and Best Rebuttal at the Meet the Challenge Debate Competition.

Currently an 11th-grade student at Hope International School, Morris continues to pursue both academic and creative excellence. Beyond the classroom, he channels his passion for poetry, art, and technology by creating and selling AI-generated images across social media platforms.

Guided by his personal motto — “Work harder, nobody cares — your results will” — Morris represents a new generation of Liberian youth blending creativity with innovation.

Today, one of Liberia’s distinguished economists, Dr. Augustus J. Panton, marks his birthday.

Dr. Jablou Panton, popularly known as Dangerous Species, is a seasoned scholar, a multiple award-winning academic, and an esteemed policymaker whose groundbreaking work has crossed boundaries and influenced global economic thinking. His research covers critical areas such as Climate Change, Monetary Policy, and Artificial Intelligence, shaping discussions at the highest levels of policy and academia.

A proud son of New Kru Town and an alumnus of St. Mary’s Catholic School National Alumni Association, Dr. Panton currently serves in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He is widely recognized for his impactful research on global climate change and monetary policy, including his notable study titled “Making Romania Fit and Resilient for the Net-Zero Transition.” His contributions also extend to insightful analyses on economic developments in Hungary.
