Voinjama, Lofa – April 2026
Lofa County Senator, Momo Cyrus, has pledged a donation of US$1,000 to the LFA Lofa Sub-Association to support football development initiatives across the county. According to the announcement, the funds will be officially received by the Sub-Association on April 27, 2026.
The contribution is aimed at strengthening grassroots football activities and promoting the growth of the sport throughout Lofa County, a region known for its passion for football and emerging talents.
In a related development, four key football stakeholders from Lofa County are expected to join Senator Cyrus’ campaign team in Monrovia. Their mission is to engage and encourage eligible voters ahead of the upcoming election scheduled for May 15, 2026. Their involvement is seen as a strategic move to consolidate support within the football community.
Senator Cyrus made these disclosures shortly after receiving a major boost to his campaign, as prominent football stakeholders in Lofa County formally endorsed his candidacy. He is contesting for an Executive Committee Member position in the upcoming Liberia Football Association (LFA) elections.
The endorsement signals growing confidence among local football leaders in his vision and commitment to advancing the sport, both at the county and national levels.
